Narrator: It's mushroom season, and red fox detects an intruder on her territory.

The two foxes face off, heads lowered and growling, with their tails raised up bristling in a threat display.
Narrator: The competition for the best foraging grounds is fierce.

The grey fox yields first, abandoning the basket as Red chases them off.
Narrator: Territory must be defended, for family honour and to provide for one's offspring.

Coming home, Red is once again her regular sweet and cheery self, offering her own mushroom basket to Blue and Green.
Red: Take the rest to your grandma, sweetie!
Blue: Thanks, mom.

Green: Awwwwh, none of them are ripe yet.

Blue looks at Green calmly, as his suggestion brings a spark of inspiration to Green's expression.
Blue: You could get a few and let them ripen in a fruit bowl at home.

As the foxes head home, Green is hauling along a wheeled fruit grate. He has taken every single one of the persimmons that were on display.
