Walmart Switch 2 links are gone! These were separate listings than the normal ones for some reason likely meant for employees or customer support; orders were successfully placed had June 1+2 delivery ship dates. These will probably be cancelled-Nintendo would not like it if not!

Jake Randall @jakerandall.bsky.social · 01/05/2025

(Target will have in store pickup for the first time, which is MUCH easier to check out online than their joke of ship to home, GS may have a few extras at their midnight launches.) Walmart and BB will be online only. Expect launch day restocks to happen anytime after midnight EST on launch day—

350

Jake Randall @jakerandall.bsky.social · 01/05/2025

Target and Best Buy MAY wait up until launch day to do it but they are sure to do it before stores open (online only) on launch day. Stores will get additional units to sell on launch day as well.

120

Jake Randall @jakerandall.bsky.social · 01/05/2025

The other retailers will do this as well (Target, GameStop, Best Buy) and like Walmart will not announce it. That might be a good thing though because the Walmart restock lasted 8 hours. GameStop may announce it because they are always desperate for traffic. (Sorry GS, but we know it’s true.)

Jake Randall @jakerandall.bsky.social · 01/05/2025

Switch 2 pre-order next wave update: I keep being asked so let me share what I CAN: When Walmart had their second wave on Saturday it was from cancellations/declined payments of wave one.

1283

Jake Randall @jakerandall.bsky.social · 26/04/2025

I think for these they will not be using door dash. I can confirm with the same employees who gave me this info

010

Jake Randall @jakerandall.bsky.social · 26/04/2025

Whether it’s sold out or not you still have to push the pre-order button a bunch to get it to work. All this info comes from employees feeding me information!

040

Jake Randall @jakerandall.bsky.social · 26/04/2025

If you get auto canceled your store is sold out. You can try switching to a friends address that is further away from you but still close enough you could pick up on launch day!

120

Jake Randall @jakerandall.bsky.social · 26/04/2025

That is how they are able to offer launch day shipping! They are actually shipping these to the stores way ahead of time and then delivering it to you on launch day the same way they deliver groceries!

220

Jake Randall @jakerandall.bsky.social · 26/04/2025

Here’s how Switch 2 pre-orders at Walmart work: this is NOT regional! This is a NATIONWIDE restock of canceled orders but It is STORE SPECIFIC. Meaning it could show sold out for you but in your neighboring town it’s in stock. Walmart is secretly assigning you a store based on your address!

Jake Randall @jakerandall.bsky.social · 26/04/2025

Walmart Switch 2 has been in stock for a couple hours, my friend was able to place an order just now. They used the app and had to click the pre-order button a bunch of times for it to work! Use PayPal! - Switch 2 Console: howl.link/frv84es40mkkd - Mario Kart World Bundle: howl.link/hs13ga3gqc4lu
