Been watching Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir and like…??

‪33. Camp Rock 3‬ ‪Unseen DCOM 64. This movie doesn’t know what it wants to be, as its original, new stuff is very surface level with some good ideas, but its ties to the past movies are genuinely just “remember this song or line from the first two movies?” far too often.‬ ‪5/10‬

Went to an aquarium today and couldn’t stop laughing at this slightly broken coral looking just like Lady Cassandra

‪30. Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender‬ ‪Despite a few weak narrative choices, it’s great to see this fantastic team once again. An interesting study on Aang’s lingering grief. The animation is some of the most beautiful 2D work I’ve seen, why wasn’t this in theaters??‬ ‪8/10‬

‪29. Legally Blonde: The Musical‬ ‪The reason I finally saw the original. And honestly? The original movie was better. Some of the songs were fun but the overall story of the musical really weakened Elle’s character overall, which was a big detractor for me.‬ ‪7/10‬

‪27. Descendants Wicked Wonderland‬ ‪Unseen DCOM 63. Even as part of an already messy franchise, this fifth one is the epitome of its messiness. Rushed nonsensical plot, FAR too many characters, only one kind of good song. It felt like an Act 3 without an act 1 and 2.‬ ‪3/10‬

Charlie and Nick have genuinely become some of my favorite characters in fiction. I saw so much of myself in both of them in different ways, and it helped me better care for myself. This franchise has meant a lot to a lot of people, and I’m honestly glad I got to experience it.

‪26. Heartstopper Forever‬ ‪While it’s a shame the show didn’t get to end on a proper full season to round out everyone’s stories, the movie is a great way to wrap things up for the series adaptation, showcasing how love is different for everyone and what it can truly mean.‬ ‪8.5/10‬

Now that it’s all done, I’m just going to say it. I really liked Heartstopper. I started the franchise only a couple years ago, but I really enjoyed both the show and the web comic. I know that it isn’t a series for everyone and it isn’t perfect, but it was definitely special.

I suppose it’s probably a good time to say it. Well, if it wasn’t obvious by now, I’m bi! Surprise! 🩷💜💙 Oh and my partner? We’ve been together for over three years now. He’s been my fiancé for over a year and we’re getting married in two months. Neat, huh?

‪22. The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales‬ ‪An incredibly charming Zelda-like adventure with time travel and fun combat varieties mixed with delicious bite-sized dungeon. Add in a fairy companion with optional multiplayer, and you’re in for a real fun journey.‬ ‪9/10‬

‪21. Spirit of the North‬ ‪I played this earlier this year and straight up forgot to talk about it. Mostly because there wasn’t much in this basic fox-walking sim with a vague no-dialogue story and puzzles that are either too easy or too tedious. It was pretty rough…‬ ‪4/10‬

‪20. Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2‬ ‪I played the original last year and got around to the sequel this year. The gameplay was overall far more forgiving than the first, but almost to a fault with how overpowering the new characters felt at times.‬ ‪7/10‬

‪18. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream‬ ‪While some of the missing features from the 3DS original are noticeable, what is offered is sheer madness in the best way possible. Over 130 hours and I never got tired of creating and seeing silly shenanigans. What a treat.‬ ‪9/10‬

15. Daredevil Born Again Season 2 After the admittedly rocky 1st season, season 2 came in swinging with the sauce of the original show and never slowed down once it hit the gas. The action, the tension, the drama, the making side characters meaningful… all sensational. 9.5/10

This shot at the beginning of the Pokémon Presents I don’t think is being talked about enough. It’s simple, but something about seeing all these game openings, side by side, really made me appreciate how long this franchise has been in our lives and how much it means to us all.

‪6. Prom Pact‬ ‪Another not-DCOM Disney Plus DCOM but with some edge. Two high school misfits find surprising relationships with popular peers their senior year. Something of a cross between Breakfast Club and Dear Evan Hansen, somehow, in terms of character and plot.‬ ‪6/10‬

‪4. The Slumber Party‬ ‪Not a DCOM but is basically a Disney Plus DCOM. It’s fundamentally The Hangover but as child friendly as possible. It starts strong with a distinct vibe but loses it continuously and ends half-satisfyingly with unanswered questions.‬ ‪5.5/10‬

1. The Jennie Project Unseen DCOM 62. A family end up adopting and orphaned chimpanzee and then things happen. It’s very weird and it felt like a lot of the cast was barely trying. The chimp obviously had wacky hijinks and sometimes it was cute. 4.5/10

104. Jett Jackson: the Movie Unseen DCOM 61, apparently based on a Disney channel show I never heard of. A kid actor switches realities with the character he plays in his spy show. It’s kind of weird and I don’t think the show gets this weird (maybe? Idk) but it was fun-ish. 6/10

‪103. The Other Me‬ ‪Unseen DCOM 60. A kid accidentally gets cloned by an experiment and realizes how he could be better through his clone’s positive changes. Overall fine, but sometimes the kid’s actor couldn’t make the original and clone different enough personality wise.‬ ‪5/10‬

‪102. ‘Twas the Night‬ ‪Unseen DCOM 59. Bryan Cranston of all people is in this, as a conman who, along with his nephew, finds Santa’s sleigh and uses it for his own gains. Boring, slow pace, bad characters. I can officially say there are no good Christmas DCOMs.‬ ‪4/10‬

‪100. The Naughty Nine‬ ‪Technically not a DCOM but you can tell it definitely is one. It’s a parody of Ocean’s Eight and other heist movies but about kids breaking into the North Pole to get the presents they think they deserve. Fun premise but not a very fun turnout.‬ ‪4/10‬

‪99. Christmas…Again?!‬ ‪Unseen DCOM 58. It’s a “Christmas every day” time loop storyline, but one that tries having way too many sub stories without any build up or payoff. It was truly speedrunning and checking off boxes to get its story done without much meaning to it.‬ ‪3.5/10‬

‪98. The Ultimate Christmas Present‬ ‪Unseen DCOM 57. Two kids discover Santa’s magic weather machine and use it to create a snowstorm in Los Angeles to disastrous results. Boring characters with terrible arcs and an extremely predictable plot. Bah humbug to this!‬ ‪4/10‬

95. Spin Unseen DCOM 54. A high school student discovers a love for DJ-ing. This movie could have been very predictable, but it subverts almost every typical predictable DCOM trope and has an overall very fun cast of characters. Surprising and genuinely sweet. 7/10

‪90. The Swap‬ ‪Unseen DCOM 53. It’s Freaky Friday but with a boy and girl. It sounds predictable, but it actually has some surprising depth to it, dealing with toxic friendships and the grief a child can face from deceased parents and absent walk-out parents.‬ ‪6.5/10‬

87. Pokémon Legends Z-A Fun new battle style. A very lively overworld despite what some might say. Fantastic new Mega Evolutions. Phenomenal human characters. A surprisingly fun story. Once again, the experimental Legends games prove to be some of Pokémon’s best. 9/10

My lovely team that I used in the adventure.

‪84. Tiger Cruise‬ ‪Unseen DCOM 50. A DCOM about 9/11. I’m not even joking it’s about kids on a navy tiger cruise but then 9/11 happens and we focus on everyone’s reactions. The characters were surprisingly good but the overall plot was just fine. Somehow Bill Pullman was in it‬ ‪6/10‬

71. Girl vs Monster Unseen DCOM 45. A girl discovers her parents hunt monsters and must step up when the worst of the worst escape to wreak havoc. Felt like a mix of Ghostbusters and Hocus Pocus. Some interesting ideas in this one in terms of how monsters and fears are related. 6/10
