No one gets to chose their family. And "dad" is three characters, so it's easier to fit into a tweet than "estranged biological father."

I suspect my biological father, Peter A. Lehman of Arcata, in addition to his other violence, may be the infamous Zodiac Killer, who terrorized the Bay Area in the late 1960s. I also suspect he may be responsible for numerous unsolved disappearances in Humboldt County over the years.

. . . nuance in German nationalism in the year 1945. The policies from the top of the Israeli gov have not been strategy, or even zionism, since they care nothing for the future of the Jews, they have been a nihilistic tantrum, destruction for the sake of destruction, which if not immediately . . .

The leadership of Israel botched it. Three or four years ago, Israel had the sympathy of much of the world. If they’d been just with Palestine then, there would be room to talk about nonracist zionism. As it is now, asking people to find nuance in zionism is a bit like asking them to find . . .

I saw that, and agree the US military purge is alarming. My assessment of the people running Trump is that they are depraved and nihilistic, and will nuke if they can. I've done the best I can to identify the problem. I hope there are security professionals who understand the situation.

Trump has deployed a third carrier group to the Iran war theater, indicating he will escalate in response to FlyDubai. Note the timing. The group sailed the morning of Fairford. I'm not a naval logistics expert, but I suppose it takes a few hours to get a carrier group ready, which means . . .

Like Fairford, FlyDubai appears to be hurriedly conceived, and not to have gone off as planned. Probably the plan was to fly the plane into a soft target in Israel, but people are hardened to terrorism now, and resist in all sorts of ways. Terrorism isn't funny, but this comment made me smile.

There's chatter online from people thinking the FlyDubai incident was an Israeli false flag. If so, the timing was ideal, especially after the failure at Fairford. Using "brainwashed" or otherwise coerced attackers is a pattern I've observed in recent history, which you can read about on Substack.

With the fizzled Fairford airbase attack now a potentially embarrassing mess, media attention has shifted to the FlyDubai incident, which has not been linked to Iran other than by innuendo from the US and Israeli govs. Nevertheless, Trump indicates he will use the incident to escalate the Iran war.

You seem like an intelligent person, can you really not see why? It's about making the world worse for the sake of making the world worse. And it will get much worse, and affect much more than the Middle East, without intervention at the highest level, and I don't specifically mean Netanyahu.

The suspect who called police, apparently prompting a massive anti-terror, bomb-squad response, is a very interesting part of this story. What went through his mind that night? Was it conscience? Resistance to coercion? Did he figure out he was being duped into something awful? I hope we find out.

Iran's foreign minister on Twitter, appearing to deny Iranian involvement. Is he implying that there is a different "tree" involved in this incident? Officials on both sides are using very cagey language. The suspects have still not been identified by the UK, or, it seems, charged with a crime.

The latest from the BBC is the UK gov floating an Iran connection. But this whole incident was diametrically opposed to Iran's strategic interests, and wholly in line with with the escalatory interests of the current dead-end Israeli regime, which has used false flags to further their goals before.

It's highly unlikely the UK gov or media would be able to point the finger at an escalatory Israeli false flag, even if that's where the evidence leads. They may still try to blame Iran, but the whole thing is so sloppy they'll probably hope it gets buried in the ongoing chaos, like this from today:

BBC and Guardian now running the story of the suspect tipping police. Seems quite unlikely he would call 999 to report he and his friends were just out stealing fuel to make money, or if so, that police would respond as they did. So that points back to terrorism as originally assessed.

Yes, we agree on that. From my perspective, the family I was born into, the fascist politicians in both our countries are pieces in a larger game of 'soulless criminals' whose names are not well known. My dad used to laugh and say "If voting could change anything, we wouldn't let them do it."

If it's any help, I read the Guardian frequently, and not the L. Times. I think the G. does well on cultural issues and most news. Because of my own family proximity to alleged terrorist activity, I don’t expect the mainstream to tell people what's really going on. That's why I'm out here blogging.

And a phone call to police by one of the suspects before the incident is a pretty strong indication that this was more than simple theft, even if it was first reported in a right-wing newspaper.

Neither, to be honest. Media with reach, left or right, is a prime target for corruption. Three vans loaded with fuel drums are a potential explosive. What police said was they didn't find a means to detonate it. But they also don't seem to have found all the men the witness reported.
200
Free Reading @jakelehman.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Now the London Times is saying that sources are dismissing rumors that the men were simply fuel thieves, calling the incident a 'suspected bomb attack,' and saying one of the suspects called police to report it before the arrests.

Three vans loaded with fuel drums is enough to make a very large explosion, and the fuel would need to be delivered to proper storage to be fenced, which it wasn’t. If this was a failed escalatory false flag, and the UK wanted to minimize it, you'd expect them to do about what they have done.

Well, if the UK were trying to minimize a failed attack by an "ally" they're not in a position to criticize, they'd do about what they have done. Trump seems to be sticking to the original playbook of blaming Iran, which is probably what we'd be hearing from all if there had been a successful attack
