Right, let’s add those two parts together and now we’ve got something recognisable. But there’s still more to do to perfect the design As seen in the Art of Andor by @philszostak.bsky.social #starwars #andor #conceptdesign #droid #b2emo

More B2 concept sketches as seen in the Art of Andor by @philszostak.bsky.social Getting into utilitarian shapes and a rotating rack system of tools. Following the previous post, the next key sketch that will form B2 is top middle. More to follow #starwars #andor #conceptdesign #droid #b2emo

Initial page of sketches I did for B2EMO on Andor (as seen in @philszostak.bsky.social ‘s Art of Andor). Pay attention to the two bottom centre sketches - they are part of the genesis of the final design. More to follow #starwars #andor #conceptdesign #droid #b2emo

Concept sketches and some other pics for Ep9 - EfremLX, a First Order military protocol droid. Don't think you ever saw it in the movie but he did get a Topps card. #starwars #conceptdesign #droid

A humanoid robot holding a gun. Mainly black with a red face, it has a boxy structure with exposed joints and midriff. The red face is divided into three panels with one single blue glowing eye on the right hand side.

Shoddy ad from @adobe.com for some shoddy gen-ai turntable tool for Illustrator. Look at that frog on the right - head going one way, torso another and feet another again. 100% going to need some redrawing there adobe. Piece of crap. Who would use this for anything remotely professional? #fuckai

Back in 2020 and again in 2023, I was asked by Lord/Miller to do some early developmental and preproduction concept design for Rocky on Project Hail Mary. Great job and great film.

It’s 10 years since The Force Awakens was released. Here’s me back in 2014 on the Millennium Falcon set double-checking scale with the BB8 prototype body. Yes, he could just fit through the cockpit door #starwars #theforceawakens #bb8

Cyborg spy bird concept for Rogue One. This version did get made but never made it to the final film. It was for a very specific scene and I have a feeling it was maybe rewritten, so not sure if it was ever shot or became an edit room casualty #starwars #rogueone #conceptart #cyborg

Tarsunt Jedi Youngling concept for The Acolyte. According to The Visual Guide, her name is Tenina Sha-Dand. I hope that means she’s an ancestor of Vober Dand, the original Tarsunt ground crew I designed for The Force Awakens. #starwars #theacolyte #conceptdesign

When we first read the Solo script there was an alien called March. I can’t remember exactly what he did - local crimelord, gang boss or something like that. We only did a handful of ideas before his scene got rewritten and he ceased to exist. 😞 #starwars #conceptart

Unused droid concept from Solo. With his little foldaway arm trowel and the apparatus on his back, he seems to have a purpose for which I just cannot remember. Anyway, he seems to have something…is it worth digging? #starwars #soloastarwarsstory #droid #conceptdesign

I found this old french Castors Juniors album from when I was a kid with this great Star Wars ad - we lived in France for a while and this was a Christmas present in 1979. D2R2, Z6PO, Dark Vador, Chiqutaba in La Guerre des Étoiles! I’ve always wondered why it wasn’t it Les Guerres though #starwars

Unused character design for #starwars TROS. She would’ve just been an idea for a general background character, probably drinking in the Kijimi bar. I kind of wonder what her story is. Is she noble and good or low down and criminal? Hopefully more interesting than the usual bounty hunter or smuggler
