Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 09/02/2026CAIRN! Best climbing mechanics of any game I have ever played. Its frustrations and cathartic moments are perfectly balanced and reaching the end was jaw dropping! very very good! 100
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 29/01/2026I’m thoroughly enjoying Cairn but NOW IS NOT A GOOD TIME CHRIS!! 020
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 19/01/2026DONKEY KONG: BANANZA! My word does this game find itself in the 2nd half!! What started off as a game I didn’t think I’d finish turned into one my favourites of last year! Very good, very playful, ooh banana! 100
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 18/01/2026First up: SPLIT FICTION! Me and my partner have been working our way through this for a couple months. It’s not as good as It Takes Two. It’s fine, the last third is the strongest by far. Fun coop gameplay, dreadful story. 210
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 03/01/2026Experimenting with Chroma keying in OBS and my blue eyes have caused a curse on my bloodline. 030
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 29/12/2025Joined the Switch 2 club the other day. Donkey Kong is fun! Mario Kart is fun! The screen is big. Very good! 000
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 04/09/2025I will protect you with my life little bug. The level of Silksong’s little guys is absolutely off the charts. 010
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 31/08/2025Öoo - A testament to sticking with one mechanic and doing it really well. This games takes concepts from Metroidvanias and builds it around 1 mechanic, once you know all its tricks you can beat the game! Genuinely fantastic, GOTY contender. 010
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 31/08/2025Atuel - A beautiful combination of Video Game, Documentary and Surrealist Art. The use of the interactive medium to tell real stories is something that doesn't happen often enough. It's free and only about 20 minutes long, so no excuse not to check it out. 131
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 31/08/2025Risk of Rain 2 - first played this a couple years ago and it didn't grab me. Started again earlier this year and OH BOY, I am absolutely hooked. Can make you feel like a god or a chump, but the uniqueness of each character, and item possibilities makes it so addictive! not even touched the DLC! 110
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 31/08/2025Shogun Showdown - Simple at first, turn based combat deck builder. Fluid moves make you feel like a genius when you execute a good combo. great little game! 120
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 31/08/2025The King is Watching - Absolute STONKER of town building Rogue lite. The complexity can be a little overwhelming at first but once it gets going its so much fun. 110
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 31/08/2025The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth - The first of the Rogue Likes I've been jumping between, none of which I am finished with yet. This game hasn't gripped me like it did for others, but I will give it more time as i certainly haven't even scratched the surface. 100
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 23/08/2025Got to see one of my favourite bands for the first time today! 000
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 29/06/2025Haiku the Robot! I actually finished this last week but forgot I was doing this thread lmao. A lovely little Metroidvania, scratched the itch while STILL waiting for Silksong. 100
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 06/06/2025Playing #nomanssky on my brand new #nintendoswitch2 console system. 000
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 19/05/2025CLAIR OBSCUR: EXPEDITION 33! The most 10/10 game I have ever played. Genuinely sensational from start to finish! 000
Jake @jakeitup.bsky.social · 29/03/2025The Beginners Guide. After Wanderstop I wanted to dive into more of Davey Wreden's work. This is one the most emotionally intense games I have played, and bizarrely feels like Wanderstop is it's spiritual sequel. Fantastic piece of art, cried. 210
