i really feel like we’re a liverpool-after-coutinho window away from something special man. the foundation is so solid now

i am a bit curious to see how much Levy backs Ange. I don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility that we finish ~9th w/no trophies which will test their patience. To me this Jan is a big opportunity to show faith & capitalize on our chance at Europa, but easier said than done in that window

people are going to draw some hilarious conclusions when the only thing that we can pretty fairly say is yea we should’ve signed a lcb &/or a lb in the summer

Feel more worried about the fanbase’s reaction to tomorrows match than the actual match itself

Through the first 11 games, Dejan Kulusevski has been playing some of his best football since signing with Tottenham. Over at @thetransferflow.bsky.social, I wrote about how a tweak to his position has revitalized his Spurs career www.thetransferflow.com/p/a-position...

A position change has rejuvenated Dejan Kulusevski

If a winger isn't fast and can't dribble past people, maybe try moving them inside.

i really take it for granted but the nature here is so so incredible. would definitely recommend both Ontario and British Colombia for visits!

when I was reading sound & fury someone underlined this and wrote BULLSHIT which i found highly amusing

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

honestly i thought he was pretty ass last season but that #9 experiment may have saved his career

000

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

Imagine someone told you 6 months ago that there would be a reasonable chance that Kulusevski would end the season not only as our best player, but doing it from #8

181

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

i mostly only buy used and i kinda find it endearing when i read parts that others have highlighted or underlined. it’s weird but it’s like you’re interacting with someone else’s interpretation of the novel

130

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

Yea the crazy part is that all of that stuff existed before but it was very promoted like it is now. Like most far-right talking points were banished off to 4chan or other weird sides of the internet but now they’re everywhere. It’s actually so concerning

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 19/11/2024

lmfao man it was only getting worse before i went private too, that app is so fucked

Ah man I love that 2nd pic, the contrast is so beautiful

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

If you can make it through the slog of the first chapter it’s much more easy to digest. I’m not a fan of the stream of conscious narrative style, but it all clicks together close to the end in a very satisfying way. Still one of the hardest reads i’ve ever sat through

010

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

we finally got a young exciting winger and they instantly took him from us smh

160

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

once i survived the first chapter i knew i was in for a treat. quentin’s chapter will stick with me for a while

110

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

so so good “victory is an illusion of philosophers and fools” will be my moto any time spurs lose this season

Spent this international break finishing The Sound and the Fury by Faulkner. An incredibly hard yet rewarding novel that contains one of my favourite openings to a chapter I’ve read.

I was a Milan fan as a kid because I loved Kaka, then in ~2004 my Spurs supporting family came over from England for a wedding, forced me into supporting Spurs, and the rest is history

its sooo clean. black, gold, and purple is just unmatched in sports. it’s partly why the Spurs purple kits are some of my favourites of all time

Thing with Candace is i dont think she truly believes those things, she just knows it makes $. Pretty sure she even sued her old school on discrimination before she was famous If gamergate wasnt so influenced by 4chan style of racism it def wouldve worked on me more, but that kind of racism is nuts

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 14/11/2024

i think by the very nature of being black + queer it never had any impact on me, however i dread to think of the reality of being a young white kid who was constantly consuming that propaganda

110

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 14/11/2024

that’s a good sign, i’m positive it’ll pop up eventually as people tailor things more to their needs. I’m moderately concerned by reports like these but definitely willing to give it a chance

011

Jake @jake-thfc.bsky.social · 14/11/2024

Yea I mean I’ve only been on here for ~24hrs but I’m interested in this general vibe of comfort that seems to be prominent here. Comfort in interactions is ofc important but deliberately avoiding reality (genocide in this case) is another
