In my professional opinion, the change is an improvement. The fully posable Daxter Plush, available now: www.fangamer.com/collections/...

A photo of the Daxter plush hanging from a plant in a living room studio set to show its posable limbs. Its legs and one arm are wrapped around the tree, with the other arm posed as if the plush is waving.

A photo of the Daxter plush dangling from the back of a chair in a living room set to show its posable limbs. Its tail is wrapped over the top of the chair so that it's hanging upside-down, with its hands over its eyes.

A closeup of the Daxter plush, showing its embroidered mouth and eye details and sculpted eyebrows. Its arms are posed so that it seems to be bending them upward at the elbow.

Travis Howe (Animator at Sanzaru Games 2018-26) - "A long while back, a team was assembled to pitch a remaster of Jak & Daxter. I was asked to animate an IGC shot-for-shot, to show what this updated version would look like." - not commissioned by Sony - a fan pitch to gain permission

Learn the true meaning of Jaxmas ALL DAY Friday (12/20) on Twitch.tv/Gameonysus as we play Jak 3. Join me, my brother @ecreates88.bsky.social (fellow Jak sicko), and my fiancé @isaiahsmith.dev (morbidly curious).

Jak 3 cover art with cheap clip art/photos from Canva, adding Santa's sleigh and hats to the characters. Text says Merry Jaxmas in the Jak and Daxter font.

Trophies are live for the new version of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, with separate trophy lists for both the PS4 and PS5. That means two platinums! There are trophies that require different requirements than what we've seen before. www.exophase.com/game/jak-and...

It's an upgrade over the previous version. The one that you can download at the moment is a pretty bad emulation all things considered. This new one will be running on the new and upgraded PS2 emulator with new features like rewind and quick save. And it will just play better.

It might not surprise you to learn that the artist behind this concept art is Craig Elliott, who also worked on Disney's Treasure Planet (one of my favourite movies of all time).

A variety of alien species highlighted in the Jak 4 concept art section of 'The Art of Naughty Dog' book in 2014. It seems as though it could have been a big departure for Jak and Daxter, for it would have perhaps transformed the franchise into more of a space opera.

That's a good question! I love TPL because of how masterful it is as a pure 3D platformer, but also Jak II for its awesome story and just how incredible it is that Naughty Dog managed to change the tone so much and with it still feeling like J&D at its core. What's your favourite in the series? :D

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale turns 12 years old today. I have a huge amount of nostalgia for this game, and played hundreds of hours of online multiplayer back in the day. I haven't played in many years, but I still remember Jak's entire moveset. Sony please give us PS All-Stars 2 🙏🏻
