Five years ago, I was published in POETRY Magazine. Since then, I've been published in lit journals at Oxford and St. Andrews, and in Ireland, Australia, and Italy. Five of my poems appeared in Virginia Quarterly. Narrative. Won two book prizes and published my first collection.

It's time to disassociate/ spend the rest of the day reading Wikipedia. Tabula Rogeriana, or Al-Idrisi’s world atlas, was created in the 12th century and is one of the world's earliest and most detailed maps. The South is at the top, a standard convention in Islamic maps.

Introduce yourself! Would love to follow/celebrate all poets and writers. From SLC, but I consider NYC my 'home.' Frank Stanford, Paul Celan, Anne Carson, etc. Poems are bewilderment prayers that explore brutality, loss, and the grotesque. Searching for boring divinity in the undesirable.

My latest short story ends with a hot Silverlake Pakistani girl with vitiligo and a bunch of stick-and-poke tattoos taking her broken Roomba to a strip club to deal with the loss of both her parents. I think I'm done writing poetry. I love fiction.
