I worked on early masterplan studies for Etihad campus & would suggest there’ll have been numeous options explored but these should be a quite developed concept scheme used to cost for funding case & offer for site. A lot of planning refinement & value engineering between now & built scheme though

I’m guessing topography and patterns of sea trade are probably the reasons. Hilly arid terrain and no decent port or harbour where the Guadiana hits the sea - Atlantic ports face west and it’s beyond the shelter of the Med?

This is up there with why were there no new towns in Yorkshire?

Spent much of new #NPPF day wondering how everyone managed to generate hot takes from #planningreform before Ai got involved Is this what they mean by Digital Planning?

If we were an Italian club it would probably go something like this… #nufc

My fantasy premier league name - All With Miley Faces - was meant to be a joke not a prediction 🤦🏻‍♂️ #nufc

“We should all be dreamers at heart. Some people are the opposite and say ‘we can’t do that’, but when you ask them why, they can’t give a reason. Well I say, ‘Why not?’” #keegan #nufc

Sort of mocked for his rant but those people miss the point. It was never about one particular opponent or situation. Aiming high and falling just short always seemed much better to me than knowing your place and accepting your fate. Same now as always - I would love it if we beat ‘them’ - love it

I really don’t have many heroes in life but Kevin Keegan was one of them. His entertainers team formed the backdrop to my formative years as a teenager in the NE & #nufc season ticket holder. I loved everything about it. His football philosophy has informed my approach to work & life. Gutted

“Here’s a punchy version ready to post:” 🤦🏻‍♂️ Words at start of some posts you see that just make your heart sink. It’s a few hundred characters and supposed to be your own opinion - just write it yourself #technologicaladvances really bloody get me in a mood #ai

Right from that interview on the beach you could tell he was less than bothered. Eddie Howe’s unrequited love #tonali #nufc

Good player but was always a bit shifty and never seemed that committed. Abroad would’ve been best, a mediocre premiership team next best thing. Decent money - time to start spending #nufc

As annoying as that was anyone wanting Howe out should consider there’s nothing in this PIF ‘project’ beyond him & a few tins of paint at the training ground. City transformed their coaching & scouting set up, stadium, training ground & built world class set up in all areas from day 1 #nufc haven’t

Wonder why Schär never gets much of a mention when pundits discussing what’s missing at the moment. Convinced his long passes (and range of forward passing generally) were key to our counter attacking threat and Eddie’s system working. #nufc
