I liked the trailer and loved the movie. Are there people saying it had a bad trailer?

Jaffa @jaffafox.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

If you want to know about it there are many many links available and not all of them are paywalled. If you are happy to continue not knowing about it that is probably a good choice.

Today I was stung on the exact spot on my hand where I have been getting unexplained pains for the past couple days. .. Are time-wasps a thing?

If this is about Coyote vs Acme my understanding is that now that WB has sold the movie they have got all the money they are ever going to get from it, and any money the movie makes now goes to Ketchup Entertainment and to making the Warner execs look like stupid people who make bad decisions.

I am not convinced that photo is a chipmunk. The lack of face stripes leads me to think it is a ground squirrel (probably white-tailed antelope squirrel).

He has a furry tail, and can spray like a skunk, so based on this being a Chinese movie, I think The Flash is a ferret-badger. Maybe the first ferret-badger to appear in animated media. So bad movie, but big yay for obscure animal representation! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese...

Toys & Pets (aka Tea Pets) is a not good Chinese animated movie with an appalling anti-rat bias. But The Flash is interesting. The Flash is the leader of the rats, and all the English promo material identifies him as a giant rat. He is clearly not a rat.

Hey, furries of Bluesky. This is one of the best furry animated movies I have seen recently, so why am I having to find out about it from United's in-fight entertainment selections? I am so disappointed in you all. You all should watch this, especially if you have feelings about weasels.

Society generally does think that art should be available even for people that cannot afford to pay for it. Isn't that why we have tax-funded libraries?

I use only posts feed to get rid of all the reposts. But I've not seen any evidence that the default feed is doing anything other than showing all posts in timeline order. Mine looks like that when I go through it.

010

Jaffa @jaffafox.bsky.social · 14/04/2026

Bluesky doesn't have that kind of algorithm. The default feed is just dominated by people reposting stuff because the lack of so-called algorithm means that constant reposting is the best way to boost visibility. Which is almost as annoying.

'Foreign' payments can include any payment that looks like it is to a non-US company even if it is charged in US$.

000

Jaffa @jaffafox.bsky.social · 18/03/2026

Look for a card which lists 'no foreign transaction fees' in the card benefits. My Prime visa has this so this is the card I always use for travel and international payments. If it isn't listed you're probably getting charged an extra couple % for every 'foreign' payment.

It also works if you search for "#redfuchsphotography" (with the quotes). Whatever method they are using to retrieve specifically hashtags (as opposed to general search) is broken for some long hashtags. Other hashtags I found which are broken include "#TheChristmaswolverine" and "#Ragecomplication"
