I think playing Baty in the OF, having Torrens play 1B, and playing other guys out of position will ultimately drive FAs away from the #Mets. FAs wont come if there's a feeling they will be assigned to play out of position. #MetsSky

Here's what makes Peralta a bad deal: He is a FA to be. Stearns could have waited to sign him in the off-season. Instead, gave up two prospects for a guy whose contract is up. So A- Peralta is resigned and overpaid B- He walks, and the #Mets are left without him, and the prospects #MetsSky

I believe Stearns is the very reason why the #Mets are in the situation they're in. That said- the Brewers are currently 53-32. After posting seasons of 97-65 -'25 93-69 -'24 The Cubs are 224-187 under Counsell Any success the Mets have in the future will be despite Sterns. ##MetsSky
