Soon to be 9. Finished revising and formatting today. Time for a cover and a last panic round of edits, and book 9 of the craziest post-apocalyptic horror series ever written will be ready to go. Then... part 10, the last one. Getchu some... unless you got something against laughing through tears.

Finished This Rotten World 13. Came in at 125k words. Will likely add more to do that after revising and editing. More to come with this group. Now... I step into revising hell, gotta clear out some of these manuscripts. 4 of 'em, 500k words worth of writing... pretty good for a 4 months.

Added another 2k to This Rotten World 13. I'm seeing the end of it in my head. Now up to 112k words. My zombie novels are chonky. Uploaded it on my substack. I'm gonna have so much revising to do soon... four novels worth. Do I have the will to not start writing another one? Remains to be seen.

Did some work today, making up for my lack of productivity during the week. Finished my slasher novel at 61k words, gonna need to stretch it out, which will be easy. Also added 2k words to This Rotten World 13. Now up to 109k words and still chugging along. Stoked to only be working on 1 novel.

Been a busy week school-wise. Been doing lots of extra things, so I wrote maybe 7k words since Monday (which is like 13k less than I'd hope to do). Hoping to get some more words tomorrow, but I'm done for today. Sometimes, you just need a weekend, and the writing goes by the wayside.

In this semi-historical horror novel, The Pied Ppiper of Hamelin, we need someone who can do historical, horror, and dark fantasy elements. If I could throw Guillermo Del Toro on this, that would be perfect. One of my favorite weird stories. Love what I did with the Piper in this one!

My third novel, an Indigenous, horror Tomb Raider. Originally meant as a trilogy, but I've never gone back to it. First one is good on its own though. I want gothic vibes, and someone capable of gore. Uhh Robert Eggers, although, he might not be able to handle the dark humor that shows up sometimes.

The 2nd book I ever wrote, became a trilogy... full of dark gods, cannibalism, and all pre-Colombian Indigenous horror. If I was going to have a director work on this, Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, Valhalla Rising) has the right amount of artistry and unflinching brutality to pull it off.

I need someone gritty who likes practical effects and can make the downtime with characters as entertaining as the zombie action. So I'm going to go with Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead).
