there are certain friends who come to visit and always borrow some books from the library of jacky and the feeling of taking their vibe and pulling some book recs out and then those books being a HIT is better than any high

nothing helps you stay hydrated more than an 11mo who just learnt to “cheers” cups and you have to drink every time

people who critique mario kart world for the free roam not having enough to do vastly underestimate how much kids will just drive around and fill in with their imagination

sometimes I’ll be minding my own business and I’ll remember that in year 8 (13/14yo) our dance teacher had us pairing with boys to do CHAIROGRAPHY to christina aguilera’s candyman and am I clutching pearls a bit or is that an insanely weird thing to do to awkward hormonal teenagers

One thing about me is I LOVE to show my ticket on the train. Sitting up pin-straight with it ready in my hand, about to get top marks in Train.

“ok that’s enough” I whisper to myself as I stop doomscrolling and roll over to read THE HUNGER GAMES for escapism

if your love of classics doesn’t look like the traditional route or knowledge set you still have valuable and interesting things to say!! People from different backgrounds enrich the field with a whole new set of perspectives actually!! tl;dr take up the space!!!

one more thing I think is important to mention is that I almost panicked and cancelled this briefly bc I thought “oh I’m not qualified for this what if people think I don’t belong here” then realised… that’s the whole point of the book!

no sorry I’ve out baby-brained myself by going for the half hour round trip walk to the coop for the sole purpose of getting myself an easy cook dinner, got home and went to put said dinner in the fridge and realised I’d left the items in the basket area. so guess who’s getting a takeaway instead
