DEI should never have included formerly enslaved Africans freed from slavery. After 1865, their communities were destroyed by white violent mobs and rioters. They were lynched. They were forced to live in fear, housing burned, businesses destroyed. Heritage destroyed. Family name eliminated.

48% of the Hispanics vote went to Trump in November 2024 General election. In CA, it was Hispanics people who voted against the proposition that would have benefited Black people. Hispanics people have voted overwhelmingly for Republicans for many years and their policies.

Today, in Clinton, MS two markers will be unveiled. One for the Clinton Massacre and the other to mark the end of reconstruction. Interestingly, I never read about this incident in Mississippi History. 50 Black people were killed in 1875. Ulysses S. Grant, the President refused to send help.

This was not a riot. The Clinton Mississippi massacre 1875, white man came together over 7 to 8 days to kill as many black people as they could. This formally enslaved black man, who was a Republican , ran for office. He had a rally in September of 1875, approximately 1500 black people, and about 100 white people attended. He invited the democrat, who was running to speak also. What's the Democrat finish speaking, the Republican candidate got up to speak, a Democrat in the audience called him a liar. A shot rang out, and children were killed. As well as a few white people. Afterward, white men from Raymond and other areas put together a mob and began to go randomly about the black community. Killing black people. Many black people ran to Jackson Mississippi for safety. The governor of Mississippi, then called the President Ulysses, S, Grant for federal assistance. President Grant refused to intervene. About the time it ended, approximately 50 black people had been killed by this white mob.

On July 17, 2025, the city of Clinton Mississippi, it will commemorate the unveiling of two markers. This article was screenshot from the website, www.blackpast. org. It tells the story of how, in September of 1875, during a time when black people could run for office. Many of them ran as Republicans. In Clinton, Mississippi, more than 50 Black people were killed by a mob of white man.
Days after a rally that was attended by approximately 1500 black people and about 100 white people. This incident is credited with ending reconstruction. Hence, the marker that is unveiled today. These historical markers can be found throughout the state of mississippi. These markers are an attempt to memorialize some of the ugly places, unfortunately,
of the mistreatment, the violence, the oppression, and the suppression of black people.

After Obama won Republicans organized around, making sure they took control of state government to control redistricting. A book named "Red State" written by a Republican details how GOP in Texas took control of its government. SCOTUS years later held that partisan gerrymandering wasn't illegal.

I wonder why the media 🤔 treats this Trump administration differently than his first term. NYT and the Washington Post documented the lies told. We can't rely on truthful information from this administration.

I am old enough to remember the anger of Republicans when former President Obama was trying to get the ACA through Congress. We heard It was too many pages.

So, the amount increased to $292 per month. MS may not have a universal mandatory work requirement, but income limits do exist. I would guess anyone working even part-time will make more than $292 per month and excluded from Medicaid.

Nothing surprising about that revelation. When you look at the picture of Little Ruby Bridges, there are white people surrounding a child being escorted to school. It was hate for a hue of her skin. Nothing new under the sun from 1960 to now it's DEI.

The firing of federal employees is an attempt to reduce the number of people employed. Project 2025 mandated getting rid of the "dual mandate" of full employment and a stable economy. DOGE is probably going to dismantle the federal reserve completely.

As I wonder the question: Should critical Race Theory be taught in schools, I think if critical thinking is taught in schools, students will be able to critically analyze information,policy, laws and it's application and effect. Plus, CRT was used in law schools.
