TCG hot take; modern YuGiOh, with its franchise significantly less about its anime now and more about its TCG itself, is a lot like MTG in storytelling style. A lot of the modern YGO "archetypes/themes" are story dense worlds like MTG's that tell their stories through their mechanics.
