Goodness, imagine posting this on the internet where people can read it.
Screenshot of a skeet with the following text -

"Now, I didn't grow up in their spaces, I grew up as a Social Justice Warrior for proto-Woke and have risked myself on the battlements defending Woke 1 and Woke 2. And if you share my sympathies, know that this piece and the perspective it shares is deeply reactionary and is trying to hide it."

Bringing real loser energy here Mike. Also, how did El-Sayed win the primary if a majority of Democratic voters oppose him?
A text from Mike Rogers containing the text "If you are among the majority of Democratic voters who woke up Wednesday feeling hopeless because the person who won does not represent your values, I am here to say that all hope is not lost."

I lost mine a few years ago when I sold the property it was on, sadly. I also honestly didn't use it a ton after building it. Here's what I came up with though. The pipe comes out of the barrels at the bung & goes around the back and underneath.

Engaging with high profile accounts in any way is always a good reminder that Bluesky is not the ivory tower bubble a bunch of folks pretend it is. On the other hand from their most recent posts, this person is clearly an expert on 'loser mentality', so maybe I'm wrong.
Bluesky user QT's a post of mine calling it 'loser mentality' after two successive posts of their own about losing.

When Google can no longer recognize that this is a spam (and scam) email, what are we even doing? Sketchy link, text, email address and TLD and not from a contact or matching any previous emails. The internet is experiencing it's own form of Kessler syndrome.
A screenshot of an email I received asking me to sign an 'updated disbursement form' that made it through GMail's spam filters. It's more text than I'd like to type out, but suffice to say you're not missing much and it's very clearly spam/scam.

Last year Dreamhost let me know that I'd no longer be seeing any residual income from the referral codes I put onto the internet 22 years ago in 2004, but it looks like the big bucks are rolling in one last time.

All the folks with a ton of Bitcoin panicking over the current drop should probably remember that $60k is not the worst case scenario. I first heard about Bitcoin when it was < $1 USD, and there's no reason it couldn't go there (or even just $10k) again. They won't remember that, but they should.

Quite literally grabbing one timestamp earlier from the transcript adds context that she's speaking about a societal view, not her own. Further context before and after shows it was about societal context. Shortly after Barro pushes back on her point in that context.
Text from the transcript of the referenced podcast directly before that in the OP image. Text reads - "Think about how many rock stars did that in the 60s and 70s, right? I mean, the way men behaved was not viewed entirely In the same kind of like that is a social death penalty offense if you commit it. And so, yeah, I think it is not improbable that someone else thought, well, this isn't really that bad."

Quickbooks has added 'buy now, pay later' as an option on invoices. Not feeling great about the state of the economy, TBH.

Here's my question - is this Charlie Weis Jr. or a genetically combined clone of Aaron Rodgers and Mark Wahlberg? He doesn't look like his dad, but I'm definitely getting top half / bottom half Marky Rodgers vibes.

Ahh, dating on the apps in 2026 as a liberal, affirming Christian. There are so many like me out there, maybe even 10, or 12, who knows! If you're curious, I did find out what it meant 20 seconds after taking this screenshot when the chat disappeared as she unmatched.
An exchange on a dating app between me and another person. The first message sent to me says "What do u mean you're affirming your lgbtq friends". I reply with 3 messages - "As in I don't believe that they're sinful because of who they love. I believe the Bible verses often used as a hammer against them are used without proper context to our own ends to oppress an out group." "Given that you have 'other' in your political beliefs I suspect I'm about to find out what that means." "No hate either way, but that's what I believe.

Well, dear reader, what it meant is that she's conservative but didn't want to say so.

Can someone explain to me why cat does this? Front cat frequently goes to back cat for licks. BC gives licks, but also often grabs FC or clamps down with teeth. BC doesn't seem to be attacking. Why cat? Why?
A picture of two cats together on a couch. The closer cat is crouched and receiving licks. The other cat is behind the first and has both paws wrapped around the first cat's neck, and is delivering licks. The vibes are chill but moderately confusing. The cats have no opinion on Animal Crossing.

Just finished reading Iain Banks' Consider Phlebas. Enjoyed the read but found the ending really unsatisfying. I went to add it to GoodReads and discovered I read it in 2015 and left the same review I would now. Glad I'm consistent, but not a great sign for my memory!
A 3 star review of Consider Phlebas, left by me in 2015. The review reads "Really enjoyed the first 90%."

Tasting notes - still good. A little bit skunky but not bad, lots of caramel and flavors I expect from this beer. Chocolate and caramel tend to strengthen with age. Coffee, incidentally, fades (my most common old beer is Founders KBS). Slightly sour finish. Not bad.

Good pour. Still carbonated and this never really poured with a head. Smells good, I drank this new and it's familiar. Always get a lot of sediment with these older bottles. Yeast? Could be the beer breaking down? Pro-tip: pour gently and leave the last ounce in the bottle.

So, what's the oldest beer you've ever had? This one was bottled before Trump was even a serious presidential candidate! High gravity ales that aren't hop-forward do age well, although 11 years is a new record for me. This is a wheatwine ale called Pilgrim's Dole.

Yeah man, that's a bad look.
In 2022, Neeson said vaccines were “a remarkable human success story” and recorded a video thanking scientists, including Hungarian biologist Katalin Karikó, who was instrumental in the development of mRNA COVID vaccines. In Plague, Neeson calls those vaccines “dangerous experiments,” and frames the mainstream scientific community as “fanatics” and “defenders of…orthodoxy” who “demand unconditional submission.”

Have you written to your Rep or Senator today? Senator Gary Peters voted Yes on the CR earlier this year. I'm doing my part to push him not to do it again.
A letter to Senator Peters of Michigan, partly included below as space allows.

As your constituent and someone who voted for you in your last election, I would like to express my strong desire that you vote NO on any continuing resolution or budget bill. The Trump administration and MAGA Republicans are intent on using every bit of government power to strip the rights of the American people. Every day the walk us further from the American ideal of democracy and unalienable rights and further toward a future led by strongmen, fascists, and tin pot dictators. Any budget or CR will do far more damage to our country, to Michigan, and to your constituents than a shutdown will.

Agreeing to a compromise or 'bi-partisan' deal that gives Republicans everything they want while throwing in token benefits around the ACA or other issues would be a travesty. I would like to see you, Senator Slotkin, and congressional Democrat leaders in both houses throw everything at this budget. If Trump wants a budget or a CR, make it conditional on removing troops from cities, on firing anti-science lunatic RFK Jr from a position where he's directly causing the future deaths of who knows how many people and children, and on getting rid of the podcasters who have turned the FBI into a personal army.

I was incredibly disappointed in your vote on the CR earlier this year. Agreeing to it prevented some measure of short term harm to those who depend on government funding at the expense of much greater long term harm to those same people and so many more. Just look at the damage the Trump admin has done this summer while not having to worry about the budget. I am a proud American who is absolutely ashamed of who we have become as a people. You have unique power to stand up to Trump, and you're in a unique position where Democrats in the Senate can prevent a CR from passing. Please, please use that power this time.

I was going to post and complain about how I miss these old Goldfish boxes, because now I can only find little bags or the enormous milk carton shaped boxes. I looked at the small "family size" bag I have here to compare size... ... and realized both are 10oz. You win this time, Pepperidge Farm.

Mine are a mix of "Look at all the amazing players the Tigers let go of." and "Favorite mid-bottom end players." All are from their time as Tigers, and weight is given for good beards (Joba had a great one) and utility players. Love me a utility player. Hate building a team to a budget.
