NYTIMES Best TV of the 21st Century, notable omissions: 1. 24. Yes it was about the supposed war on terror, but it was the most exciting, action packed show. 24 episodes a season, which is more than some of the lists shows did in their lifetime.

Season 1 of Dark Matter was good, Season 2 even better. And Episode 5 (Love and Be Loved) was maybe the best hour of television I've seen all year. A beautiful one-off, poignant, unsettling, and if I'm not misreading the last five minutes, hauntingly ironic.

Really surprised by how much I enjoyed Good Luck, Have Fund, Don't Die. Sam Rockwell is always a hoot to watch, also the inventiveness of the story, the balance of tongue in cheek satire with end of the world gloom worked, and there's nothing better than a giant cat made of smaller cats.

Strange New Worlds has had some duds this season, but Orders of Magnitude is one of the best of the series and maybe of the franchise. Absolutely outstanding in all respects, especially the casting of Joe Morton. Episodes is like this is why I keep coming back and why I can forgive the, ugh, puppets
