Almost seems like dropping out of the playoffs would be a good thing. A home playoff game would disguise systemic issues

One goal per year of age, to make sure we win goal differential tiebreakers

I’d love to blame the billionaire owners for this. But given they just paid $125M for a WNBA franchise, I can’t imagine dropping a few hundred k on a solid CB is a real issue for them. Which makes me agree it’s Soph and LeBlanc contracts holding everything back due to salary cap

Thorns managed to drop even more points AFTER the game?! 😩😂😩

@xowngoals.com Jess Fishlock for Morgan Weaver 😂😂😂 I'm dying!

Thorns will undeservedly and miraculously make the top 4, and then fail to make necessary changes.

I wonder if the @xowngoals.com guys agree that the coach is a/the main issue. Knowing that Seb could be absolutely dominant one season and not even a playoff contender two years later makes me think RV is probably "fine" and Agoos should not make him the scapegoat--would paper over the real issues.

Actually maybe someone who doesn’t even play soccer so we don’t have to worry about changing the starting lineup

I’d rather get someone young we’ve never heard of from a non-competitive league.

I’m not gonna pretend Thorns deserve to be in 3rd, but I gotta think they won the xg battle against the summit, at least by a bit

Moultrie looks like she’s walking fine, I say she’s good to play!

Gotta love it when the story writes itself!! 🥹

OMG I’ve never screamed so loud

Jacob Stevens @jacob-baon.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

@xowngoals.com any idea how much the Moultrie SEI affects season projection for thorns?

1. You often say the coach doesn't matter that much. So, as fans, who can we legitimately blame? 2. You are Jeff Agoos. Fix the Thorns in as few moves as possible (within league rules) 3. Aside from the obvious stats like net g+, what are your fav defender stats to look for?

Jacob Stevens @jacob-baon.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Check!! If the bureaucracy can happen, we can make the funding happen.

Jacob Stevens @jacob-baon.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

I will cover the cost, if you really can come.

Okay do we have the roster space though?

Jacob Stevens @jacob-baon.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

I mean, Obaze has to be on the way out right?

Jacob Stevens @jacob-baon.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

Thorns supporters need to know what the plan is to shore up the defense. This is embarrassing to the club’s legacy.

Oh lol I have always been bad at my month numbers

Jacob Stevens @jacob-baon.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

Wait they signed her to a one week contract?!

Serious question that I'd love to hear discussed on the pod: Is there a reliable way to tell between bad GM, and owners who simply aren't willing to spend?
