Golf is so dumb. Hit the ball super well for my first real round of the year. Hit one off the pin from 151 yards. 12” from dunking it for an eagle hole out. But I chunked 4 chips so bad the ball literally moved 2” total.

Man, the Sentry lacks so much juice with no Scottie, Rory, or Spieth. Add in the missing LIV guys like Hatton, Bryson, Brooks, Niemann, and Rahm. Pro golf needs to figure out a way to merge things back together and get the best playing each other at more events than just the majors.

My kids have watched me play some of the new Indiana Jones game over the last few weeks and were interested in seeing the movies. So, we’ve watched Raiders and Last Crusade now and man, so much fun to watch with them. Last Crusade in particular had my youngest enthralled and it’s my favorite.

Enjoyed Juror #2. A good, but not great film. Very simple and very contrived premise that presents some interesting discussions around the justice system. Weird to potentially be Eastwood's final film. And the distribution plan is bizarre, since it was barely in theaters.

Didn’t play my PS5 much this year besides finishing Ragnarok and starting first chunk of Astro Bot. Youngest played a bunch of Lego Jurassic World. Need to finish Astro. Such a great game.

I’ve been doing the cooking most nights now for two years and I think I’ve gotten decent enough. Lots of simple stuff, but periodically I’ll do a braised lamb or the like. Any simple weekday dinners that kids dig I should try? We eat dairy and GF. I’m allergic to chicken, eggs, and turkey, too.

Living in the PNW and being a golf sicko is the worst. Need to get out and play a few rounds real bad. I've tried to set up a garage situation to hit balls regularly, but the ceiling is too low to hit driver and long irons. Anyone down to fly anywhere less cold and get a round or two in?

First episode of the Skeleton Crew was just about perfect. Kids loving it and begged for the next episode. So cool to see a suburban Star Wars universe and a place where there isn’t some big conflict going on. Just normal life for some kids.

Oh and my kids ruined my Xbox year in review, too. Minecraft and Goat Simulator 3 as the top games. Nice. For me the top played games were Star Wars Outlaws, Call of Duty MW3 and Blops 6, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

We’ve had the Rivian R1S for almost two months and it’s a damn delight every time I get behind the wheel. So easy to drive and the monthly updates keep improving it. Not our first EV but needed something bigger for the fam with AWD. Love it!

After seeing Gladiator 2 last night, it seemed that Denzel and the co-emperor dudes thought they were in a different kind of movie than Mescal and Pascal thought they were in. I liked the Denzel movie. Overall good time. Sharks in the coliseum! Can’t complain about that.
