Today 9 years later I’m making that same journey and today feels like it’s going to be an even bigger day for the game in this country and the one that put the game on the map. There really is only one top appropriate for today #T20WorldCup #ENGvAUS

Look at that weather across the Bank Holiday weekend. Peak cricket weather for the start of the Blast. It’s almost as if we are playing the comp in the prime summer months.

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 17/05/2026

Some great results in the T20 Knock out cup, including a bowl off! So round 3 with the Tier 1 sides enter the comp will be; Middlesex v Warwickshire Essex v Gloucestershire Yorks v Somerset Worcestershire v Surrey Glamorgan v Hampshire Lancs v Buckinghamshire Derbyshire v Northants Blaze v Durham

Think I definitely made the right choice to go to Durham on Sunday instead of Northampton today. The weather looks bleak at best today, I don’t think we will be getting much play.

Very disappointing to see that BBCsport having an England Women full international fixtures being placed underneath mens county championship Not good at all

England win toss and bowl at Durham Lamb Grewcock Knight Boosh Kemp Jones Gibson Dean Wong Bell TCC Team feels a bowler light to me, can see why they want to bowl first.

So CSK are now saying they want to invest in womens cricket. The same CSK whose CEO said this!! Wonder what’s suddenly changed their mind over all these dollars…? Sorry meant years!

Sophie Molieneux to be Australian captain is an interesting choice to say the least. Can you rely on someone who unfortunately is injured a lot to be captain of all format? Also throws up and few selection dilemmas now too? Would they play 4 spinners in a team?

Hampshire Signing Amanda Jade Wellington for next season!! Taking Wello from Somerset, where she’s essentially been for the last 2 years is a big steal from Hampshire. Somerset are loosing players quite regularly atm, which isn’t looking good for them 📷Hampshire Cricket

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 25/11/2025

Well I tell I am stunned and shocked at these groups. India and Pakistan in the same groups. It’s amazing this draw machine keeps pulling them out in the same group. 25x in a row now, what are the odds on that

210

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 22/11/2025

Fair play Wales!! You did that very very well Take note other countries (*cough* England *cough*) that’s how you treat the Haka!! #WALvsNZ

All set up and ready to go! Time to power through to Lunch, with England batting first. TV on mute and Test Match Special tuned up nice & loud. A nice 120-1 by lunch would be lovely! #TheAshes #bbccricket #AUSvENG

Tayla Vlaeminck to miss her 4th WBBL season in a row. Comes a point where DoCs might start turning around and saying they aren’t going to pick you for a squad 📷CricketAustralia

That’s Two finals that Lancashire have been in this summer and both of them they have won. It’s been great following this team round the country, from Southport to Southampton via a trophy at Taunton. Now the lucky hat goes back up until next year.

191

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 21/09/2025

Morning from Southampton A chilly but sunny & Dry day ahead. Can Lancashire take a second title, as one of the few Lancashire supporters here I hope so!!

120

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

Does someone want to tell Hampshire women they have to win a semi final first.??

000

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 04/09/2025

Even with either side winning in the Essex Hampshire game the table remains exactly the same positions as if we hadn’t played today. That’s cricket eh!

000

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 01/09/2025

A 297% increase in overal prize money and a four fold increase in winners prize money. And yet there are still people who think no one cares about womens cricket!!!

010

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 23/08/2025

That is one hell of a defeat right there. 5 ducks for Germany 20 of the Germany runs came in extras and was the highest score. Only 1 Germany player got into double figures

010

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 21/08/2025

No real surprises for the World Cup squad going to India later this year. Shame that Kate Cross and Danni Gibson misses out.

000

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 17/08/2025

Whether you like the format or not you can not deny it’s brilliant to see a ground like Old Trafford full of families and with an electric atmosphere This is what we want to see in the game. #TheHundred

@rafnicholson.bsky.social @crickether.com While I’m sure you’ve already got it covered but would be very interested to hear your take on the fact that there will be two men’s test matches on in England at the same time as the Women’s T20 World Cup next year!!!

020

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 13/07/2025

If my maths are correct Emma Lamb is the only domestic player with 1000+ runs this season and we are not even half way through July yet. Amazing season from Emma. 📷 Lancs Thunder

In regs I have saved from a couple of months ago it’s showing it, so hopefully all will have it now🤞

100

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 24/06/2025

Things you love to see!! Ellie Threlkeld keeping for England!! Things you don’t like to see ECB not getting the name of their team correct It’s the select XI not Development XI

010

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 22/06/2025

Arguably England have put out stronger squads for the India warm up games than they have a full A series against NZ A Very little senior experience or guidance in the A sides Can see why the counties aren’t happy about the A games being on during the Return of the Blast, that’s a lot of names out

000

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 19/06/2025

Some very interesting names being called up for the Development and Select XI squads. Ellie Threlkeld finally getting her reward for being the 2nd Best keeper in the country! Josie Groves captaining the Development XI! Certainly one to watch.

110

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 07/06/2025

This England team really does do odd things You pick players based on their domestic form, pick the leading domestic batter who is an opener and don’t give her a single game in her natural position!! I’m all for trying things out but give players a decent chance at least

010

Jack Rule @jackrule.bsky.social · 31/05/2025

So this doesn’t add up to me Yorkshire allow Lauren Winfield-Hill to go on loan to Essex for the Blast and then go and sign Georgie Boyce on loan to essentially fill the missing batting. Very odd to me Another example of the loan system loopholes @crickether.com
