As a queer goth myself, I propose the term fruit bat as a way to describe ourselves.

Learning alto trombone in alto clef and honestly not having to read so many ledger lines is kinda nice. I am also becoming more fond of tenor clef for tenor trombone for similar reasons. #brass #trombone #clefs

Oranssi Pazuzu is one of the most insane metal bands I’ve ever seen live. Definitely see them if you get the chance #blackmetal #metal

Anyone else wear goth makeup with metal fashion? I find the two compliment each other very well if styled correctly.

Alto trombone is such a cool instrument. Has a good amount of parts for it from baroque and classical composers however, after score reading some parts. I am very much a fan of bringing it back. The lighter tone and brighter timbre give it a completely different voice than its bigger relatives.

Came up with a major melody today, gonna turn it into a three voice fugue for funsies 🥰

New Skeletal Faces, Cemetery Sex and Misery Eden are the bands in question. Notably they’re all mainly categorized as deathrock. I suspect this will create a sort of blurring of lines between gothic metal and deathrock akin to crossover thrash in the 80s combining thrash metal and hardcore punk.

I’ve now discovered three bands that now amount to gothic metal with extra steps. Gothic metal created via goth bands getting heavier rather than metal bands incorporating goth influences. These bands are fairly underground, but it’s opened my mind to a cultural co-ownership of the genre.

First time listening to a post-rock album in a good while. This album was a good entry point for me as the more dynamic sections have metal influences. #postrock #instrumental #music #rock #ohio ifthesetreescouldtalk.bandcamp.com/album/the-bo...

I feel like while the goth and e-girl aesthetics may look similar they aim to achieve the opposite goal.

I’ve decided my two big DIY projects are going to be a deathrocker jacket and a metal vest. I will post updates as I get more ideas. 😁

Starting the process of DIYing my leather jacket. I want to go for more of a deathrock type of look with it. Any tips would be appreciated #goth #DIY #pride #deathrock #alternative #fashion

Fixed my choker with spikes from an old one that was too big to wear. I actually like the alternating pattern more than the uniform one size. #DIY #Goth #Metalhead
