Astro Bot should have been a reminder to Sony that there is a bit audience who loves (or loved) the variety of games they gave that made their consoles worth buying. Instead it feels like Sony see it as nothing more than an obligation and are actively ignoring what it represents.

Just curious. In any game made with a high number of playable characters in mind (racing games, fighting games, etc), especially if it's a spinoff of an established series, what are some games where you willingly main the central character? For me, in Sonic racing games, I will always main Sonic.

The more I think about it, from what I have played of Fortune’s Weave, Fabio might be my favorite character writing-wise. His growth from being very misanthropic to the world to understanding the beauty of both it and his friends arguably put him in the most different place than where he started.

I am 100% convinced everyone at one point saying "SA2 was secretly bad" inspired a lot of choices made with the OG Shadow vs. Mewtwo back in Season 3. This felt like a declaration that the show is beyond that now.

I’m glad Star Wars Galactic Racer is generally considered to be a solid game, albeit lacking in a few areas. I’ll definitely pick it up if I can find it at a discounted price. One of the first Steam reviews I found of it started with “Somehow Ben Quadinaros returned” and that got me.

Hey! This sucks. We're delaying the Switch 2 version a bit further out. The primary reason for this is, frankly, that accessing devkits for the platform has been difficult. Pretty much impossible, actually. As you might imagine, this causes a logistical problem in troubleshooting Switch 2 builds.

Generative AI has become so pervasive in game dev its getting harder and harder to avoid it, and that's on purpose. the ones who will get hit the hardest are the indie devs when they get caught. AAA doesn't give a shit and has the money to not give a shit.

If devs are saying that there is no AI work in their games and things are looking fishy, 1 of 2 things happened: 1. The developers were also lied to and an artist used AI 2. The developers bought an asset pack that had AI slipped into it.

I'm begging y'all, don't assume malice until you got real proof of it. The worse part about enshitification of gamedev with Generative AI is that people who ARE avoiding AI in their workflows can and will get caught up in having AI in their games due to Asset pool poisoning and AI slop artists.
