Perhaps I'm missing something, but you're responding to a post in which I've said, "Portugal decriminalised drugs", and then proceeded to state a percentage of people who are still prosecuted for drug offences… 🤷🏻‍♂️

For anyone who likes to quote Electoral Calculus as "polling", just a note that they're still predicting a solid Reform gain in Gorton and Denton. They maybe need to update their model…

A new dawn has broken, has it not? Hannah Spencer elected as the new MP for Gorton and Denton with a majority of over 4,000!

Sadly no surprise to see Reform following Trump's playbook to the letter. If your hateful bile doesn't get you over the line, cry election fraud and claim the system is rigged against you. Utterly pathetic from Matt Badloss in Gorton and Denton.

On BBC Politics North West discussing Reform's appalling Gorton and Denton by-election candidate, Matt Goodwin. In addition to the many disgusting things he has said, he has featured dreadful people on his show like Renaud Camus. Camus is the man behind the Great Replacement Theory.

Back from a wonderful time campaigning to get Hannah Spencer elected in Gorton and Denton. It's a close race with Reform, so we knew we had to bring out the big guns in the form of our chihuahua, Pablo! Big hit on the doorstep and with fellow campaigners.

UK: 29th of 30 countries for e-bikes 📉 Norway (NORWAY!): 17x more than us 📈 We can salary sacrifice £150k Porsches but not £4k bikes? Bike industry at 1970s sales levels. Tomorrow's budget could finish us off.

The issue is that there are excellent electric cargo bikes out there like this one (which is £3,500) which are helping transform people's lives, and many working families are buying them with this scheme. However the sector is already really struggling, and this move will pretty much kill it off.

According to the FT, Rachel Reeves wants to cap the cycle to work scheme. This is lunacy, and represents a curb on what is effectively the UK's only active travel incentive.

This news is so dispiriting. Plenty of e-bikes around the £4,000 mark are absolutely not luxury items, such as this Tern. We should be expanding cycle to work. Especially when it seems the “drive to work” salary sacrifice scheme for cars will be untouched. www.cyclingweekly.com/news/taxpaye...

Once more for those at the back: 👏🏻 Zack 👏🏻 Polanski 👏🏻 hasn't 👏🏻 changed 👏🏻 anything 👏🏻 about 👏🏻 what 👏🏻 the 👏🏻 Green 👏🏻 Party 👏🏻 stands 👏🏻 for 👏🏻 What he is doing is communicating our party policy more effectively than any of his predecessors.
A screenshot of a tweet from Times Radio featuring a clip of ill-informed "journalists" discussing Zack Polanski and the Green Party's alleged lurch to the left since he took over.

Very confused by these kinds of responses, especially given that one of the main groups who support a wealth tax are other millionaires and billionaires…
'Apu takes a bullet meme' with the shooter labelled as "wealth tax", the person behind the counter labelled as "millionaires and billionaires", and Apu labelled as "weirdos on the internet for no reason".

An LMGFY for those who still haven’t got it. Green politics – and by extension the Green Party – has never been simply about the environment. If you’re a journalist saying that we’ve “moved away from only talking about the environment”, you’re only demonstrating your own ignorance.

Well, Boris Johnson managed to gain the UK world-beating status on one metric…

So… Bezos cares so much about personal liberties he’s going to force the journalists he employs to write in support of them every day? Isn’t that… never mind. 🙄
The image shows a tweet from an account with a profile picture and the handle @JeffBezos. The tweet contains a note that was shared with the Washington Post team announcing changes to their opinion pages.

The note states that they will be writing daily in support of two pillars: personal liberties and free markets, while viewpoints opposing these pillars will be published by others. It explains that while newspapers once aimed to provide broad-based opinion sections covering all views, today the internet serves that purpose.

The note concludes with statements about America's success being tied to freedom in the economic realm and elsewhere, describing freedom as both ethical (minimizing coercion) and practical (driving creativity, invention, and prosperity).

The tweet has a "Follow" button visible in the upper right corner.

I’m having an experience with Evri so dire it’s comical now. I’ve been waiting for a parcel for over three months. It has spent most of the time in a depot somewhere being ignored. They finally made one attempt to deliver it nearly two weeks ago then promptly gave up. So I click to “get help”…
