Photographed most of the birds that are visiting the bird feeder, but the last ones left are a pair (I think) of Nuthatches. They don't hang around for long; these are the best I've got so far, but that first one isn't quite in focus.

20th December - A worker at a bratwurst stand is photographed from the side and behind, resting a hand under his chin in apparent contemplation. A yellow-panelled market stand selling chips at what you just know will be an upsetting price. The stand is hut-shaped with a striped roof and a large neon-style sign on top reading 'FRITE'. There are people stood at the window waiting for food, and two workers are stood inside, one is seen handing food to a customer.23rd June - Taken in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Viewed through an open doorway, three large portraits are hung in a gallery, each subject wearing black and facing forwards. In front of these portraits is a bench, on which two men are sat, also facing forwards.December 26th - A woman walks through the tall grass in Stretford Meadows on a late winter afternoon. It should have occurred to me to do this in late December, but I thought I'd share my favourite photographs I took in 2025. Places (1/3) #photography
6th January - A photograph of winter sunset from a snowy field. A cluster of trees are centred in the frame, and the sun is partly obscured behind the trunk of the leftmost tree, crepuscular rays casting down onto the ground below.25th June - A photo of the ponds at Rijn Park Katwijk, The Netherlands. The photo is taken down the length of a long pond, with a thick canopy of trees surrounding the pond. Sunlight is beaming onto the trees at the far end of the park, and the water is reflecting this strongly.15th August - A view down the rails from Deansgate-Castlefield tram station during sunset. A tram is travelling away from the camera on the central track, its display reading 'Manchester Airport'. Two large skyscrapers are prominent in the background, the one on the right is under construction, with the top floors still missing their facade.20th December - The brightly lit interior of B&H Food Mart in Manchester is illuminating the street outside through large glass windows. A man on the right of the frame stands outside the window, looking inwards.

Bluesky was doing something horrific to those transmission lines with its image compression. I've updated my export presets for future posts.
