Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Makes one wonder why the UK government encouraged the closure of the plant at Grangemouth...that produced diesel. 032
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Can't decide if this is about Scottish independence or the demise of a dodgy leader 😁 000
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Just as keen as they were, to avoid too much scrutiny...and they want us to trust them once again? Same old Tories 150
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 06/10/2026The idea of a Free press these days is laughable when most of the press is foreign-owned. 010
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I was thinking more an attack on the UK.. as he has threatened. US wouldn't want to have any of its precious assets nearby. Hopefully, I'm just over-catastrophising! 110
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I'm very suspicious of the immediacy of this action. Is Putin planning something after all and the US has panicked? 100
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 05/10/2026She's never had conviction over any of her policies and has just descended into a shock jockey, which is the only reason she appeared on that TV charade. She has an imaginary audience in her head. 010
Reposted by Jim in Moraychrisc35.bsky.social @chrisc35.bsky.social · 02/10/2026We can’t possibly have anything positive said about Scotland now can we? That’d only encourage those nasty Indy supporters. Media bias will see to that 👇👇👇👇👇. 12412

Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Sorry, I only watched it this afternoon and was shocked at what a mess the energy system is in. I'm still not sure what benefit Scotland has in producing energy from wind or sun. 100
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 30/09/2026If you have the time, have a watch of this. An eye opening account of the energy situation in Scotland...and the UK by Professor Sir Dieter Helm www.facebook.com/share/v/1C5j...facebook.com 100
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 30/09/2026The state pension is a reserved matter to Westminster and so pensioners in Scotland for example will be helping to fund the care sector in England, unless there's an increase in contribution under the Barnett formula. 011
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 30/09/2026As Ros Altmann said on Sky News this morning, there's little detail on what the new policy is and the amount raised from changes to the existing triple-lock will likely be very small. So whilst there is the admirable urgency to fix the care needs, he's going to have to find another way to fund it. 001
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Sounds great but Scotland won't see much of the benefit. It's energy generation for England surely? When Scotland suffers the highest energy costs across the UK. 120
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 29/09/2026The welfare bill is high because the big corporates are not paying high enough wages, meaning people need to claim some sort of benefit to supplement income. It's definitely not a lifestyle choice. These businesses are making huge profits and CEOs huge salaries. 061
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Really? Hope has disappeared for many pensioners who will have trouble heating their homes over winter as it is. A single person's pension doesn't even cover the cost of rent in most of the UK. I'm sure the right-wing media will be right behind him on this though. UK needs a progressive party now. 270
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Raising cash on the back of pensioners who already receive the worst state pension in the western world doesn't cut it with me, sorry. This will be the headline unfortunately and he and the Labour party will pay the price. At a UK election, I would be inclined to vote Green. 361
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Quite! I don't know how many times I've shouted 'that's a load of shite' when this has been reported across the media. Obviously, there's something else going on - but it's not terrorism! 010
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Scotland: Top bit, escaping it all but politically floundering. Middle bit - the well-educated, with a few oil spivs and royal groupies. Further south - thin band of older labour traditionalists. Bottom bit - retirees. Sold the London pad for a wee place 'up north' with a hefty retirement fund. 😉😃 010
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Piers seems giddily elated. He has more exposure now than he's had for a good while. 140
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 11/09/2026This made me think about Scotland gaining independence... 001
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Given BBC Scotland's form, I think many guessed it was a deliberate act. However, the event itself was successful and it's a shame the athletes didn't get the wider recognition they deserved. Shameful. The place needs shutting down. Nothing good has come from it. 030
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 09/09/2026The likely outcome. No doubt he'll then start a new Ltd. company to fleece another set of the outraged. 000
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 05/09/2026That there, is the future, unless people wise up to the manipulation by the billionaire class. Pitting one group against another, ending in violence. 000
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Always thought Flynn would be ideal but having seen Lara Bird in action, she seems more persuasive in making her points and I like the idea of having someone without the baggage of Westminster and still fresh with ideas, before getting bogged down with Holyrood and party norms and procedures. 120
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I really don't know. It's despairing. They've never really supported the independence marches either. 120
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Righto but the support of the SNP would certainly help, agreed. 120
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I think this would have been a much more successful strategy if it was led by the SNP leadership. As has been said, we need someone with a bit more fire in their belly to push for independence. 230
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 02/09/2026I think UK governments have spent far too much time listening to 'think tanks' many of which are funded from some very dodgy sources. They're driven to these lobby groups because they lack fundamental policy ideas of their own. 120
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Did you mean England? Scotland's water is in public hands. 100
Reposted by Jim in MorayBladeoftheSun @bladeofthes.bsky.social · 30/08/2026I will point out again Clement Attlee LABOUR PRIME MINISTER. Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 30/08/2026When did the 'Left' gain power? As far as I can reason, the 'Right' never lost power. Maybe they had a change of name but not much else has changed, despite the promises. 020
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 28/08/2026A country of monsters? I suspect this ends any hope of joining the EU? 080
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Have been with the SNP for over 10yrs and am pretty disillusioned with the whole independence campaign. I look at SNP MSPs and can't see any with sufficient spark to light a fire with perhaps one exception- Stephen Flynn. Unless he starts a leadership bid soon, I may have to rethink how to vote. 000
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Too many in Labour have been funded by corporates and foreign governments to allow him free rein. Was obvious from the start that he wouldn't have a chance. Scotland showed Labour the door and England will do the same. The only chance of having any influence at the next election is to bring in PR. 140
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Love Glasgow. Full of character and characters. Every city in the UK has problems, mostly down to persistent Westminster policy of pushing austerity but I always enjoy a trip to Glasgow and have always felt safe. 1112
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 22/08/2026I joined the SNP In 2014 to help campaign for independence but it now seems more distant than ever. Never been a fan of John Swinney and he certainly does not have the assertive character to force the hand of Westminster. A new force is required - and soon. 120
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Words, words, words. How effective are they against a rogue state? 0141
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 21/08/2026It was pathetic. I thought 'how long can this drag on before we get to some real news?'. After a few minutes, I put it on mute and waited. 000
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Rich bloke and his family returning to the uk is big news evidently. 010
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Sounds similar to the 'expats' in Spain who voted for Brexit, then realised that they had to return to UK or gain a residency permit. 260
Jim in Moray @jackinscot.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Time the place was shut down - it's insufferable. 010
