They have the money for the good work, why do they choose the bad work?

Yes, no child left behind was bad policy. I think we can all agree on that

Genetics? Random chance? How does anyone end up on the spectrum?

That was my literal thought when I saw that article.

Except Clinton, and to an extent Obama, ended up being very corporatist. Clinton, especially, with deregulation, set the path for many late issues. I loved him at the time, but I think what I really loved was how easy it was to get a job in the 90s.

I have a domestic cat that when scared jumped out of my arms and dug a row of deep scratches on my arm, and I literally can't image what it would look like if something similar happened with a big cat.

Yes, Jefferson followed Washington's example, Adams was voted out after a single term. Still, Jefferson was 58 when he took office, Adams 61, so not exactly spring chickens either.

Adams died at 90 and Jefferson at 83.

Yes, my dad got an engineering PhD for the days off. Not the research, or impacting hundreds to thousands of scholars worldwide, but for those coveted days off.

Given the wholesale devastation of the native population, it was arguably worse.

There's a growing hatred of immigrants throughout Europe. I sadly suspect that the US may be ahead of the curve in this one. Even sadder, in Europe they're from countries that were almost all pillaged by these countries at an earlier time.

We know the Trump kids to be assholes. Hunter is claiming to be a recovered, better man that we should have empathy for. The point is, still seems to be a grifter

Over 8 days. Extrapolate to 22. You can also look at yearly statistics, which are rising, and not good. The whole point is that this violence is so common with men, it barely registers.

Here's three in one week in June: www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2026/...

Three fathers killed their families this week as domestic violence deaths remain high
The homicide rate is falling, but domestic killings are not. For those who track this kind of violence, the deaths are both predictable and preventable.

No one's saying she has a right to do it, and postpartum psychosis, especially when you've gone to multiple people for help and they all fail you, is not a bad day.

Which European plan? The Swiss one? The French one? The British one? Not European, but the Canadian one? Pretty sure most Americans would be fine with lowering the age for Medicare five years, and continuing to do this every 5 to 10 years.

People have stood up for their communities and there was just a march on Washington for voting rights. I don't know what the authoritarian roadmap is, but I assume one aspect is to overwhelm the populace. There is simply too much. The biggest way to speak out is November.

I never associated them with a particular race (and I don't think I'm the only one), they just come up anecdotally a lot, and are, in fact, implicated in the highest percentage of severe attacks, emergency room interventions, and fatalities.

The point isn't whether they are sweet or not, it's that they have extremely powerful jaws, and even if they are always well-behaved, if they get spooked and snap one time, they can cause a lot of damage.

I think she would have always split the vote with Stevens. I wish the establishment had pushed out Stevens, but as they chose her, that want going to happen. I much preferred her to Stevens. I preferred her to El-Sayed as well.

She was splitting the vote with Stevens and is a team player. Stevens was the establishment choice and might have also been ahead of McMorrow in the polls. My guess is it also benefits her in the future, as by but being in the race she hasn't alienated any of the base.

Really wish that people would start looking at the migration through the lens of colonization. How much does Europe owe countries they previously colonized and in some cases (I see you Belgium), decimated? Seems like it would be a lot.

I worked at a well known financial exchange and one of the questions on one of the yearly trainings referred to Africa as a country. When I mentioned this to other people, both inside and outside the company, very few even realized the error.
