Olivia Hussey. Was taken to see Romeo and Juliet on a school trip at about 14 years old. Instant love. In finding this photo I’ve just discovered that she died in 2024. Tragic.

I did stay and voted for Corbyn and still think that whoever’s in charge, the Labour Party is always the best bet for the country, whatever their shortcomings.

I remember desperately trying to find reasons to stay in the Labour Party (and l did stay) when Corbyn became leader, knowing from day one that it would end in disaster. I didn’t dislike him but knew he’d be a terrible leader.

It’s all about choices. They have free prescriptions, free university tuition and free adult social care in Scotland. We’ve got none of that in England.

I was at our surgery recently and an elderly woman came in to make an appointment because she couldn’t get through by phone. The receptionist, who was very nice, told her she couldn’t make one in person but had to go home, where the receptionist would then phone her to make the appointment. Mad.
