Loved 'A Very Little Green Leaf' this afternoon. A thoughtful retelling of Odette Hallowe's extraordinary resilience and determination to survive. Beautifully and simply presented by the excellent cast of two. 1 extra show remaining: 17:10 @ theSpace Surgeon's Hall #theatre #edfringe

Wow, Trains in the Night took my breath away! Achingly beautiful in story and music, with incredible depth of characters. A sapphic coming of age musical for anyone who's ever been 'just friends' with the love of their life. 20:20 @ theSpace Symposium Hall (til 29 Aug) #edfringe #musicaltheatre

Loved Perfect Match, a cute 2-hand new-writing musical about giving love a chance. Gorgeous vocally and lyrically, with a heartwarming story and plenty of meta musical theatre references for nuts like me! 14:35 @ theSpace on the Mile (till 22 Aug) #edfringe #musicaltheatre

I think Leglock at Greenside George St has to be my #edfringe fave. Didn't expect a cage fighting play to capture my heart! Launching with incredible energy & humour we watch James' true feelings on his career slowly unwind. 2 shows left, 5.20pm www.edfringe.com/tickets/what...

Show artwork: white mouthguard on light blue background scribbled with the word Leglock.

Lovely end to last night with Sense, a musical about dementia. Beautifully poetic, with rich characters whose stories unwind over the course of the hour, things unsaid slowly revealed. Until Fri 22 Aug @ 11pm #edfringe www.edfringe.com/tickets/whats-on/s…

Show artwork: the back of a man's head surrounded by floating photographs of memories with the title Sense: A Musical about Dementia

I'm prioritising new shows this #edfringe, but lovely to see The Nature of Forgetting is back! Had to be one of my top 3 shows from 2017. Stunningly beautiful physical theatre about early onset dementia with a gorgeous score underpinning the story. An absolute must if you haven't seen it before!

Outdoor poster for The Nature of Forgetting. Red billboard with an image of a girl perched on the handlebars of an old bicycle while one boy cycles at speed and another boy sits backwards in the saddle. The poster is covered in 5 star ratings.

A truly heartwarming 1st #edfringe show for me seeing new musical 'I'm Autistic'. Interwoven stories show the complexity of the autistic experience through 3 focal characters, sweet songs and tight vocal harmonies. Beautiful and touching. Until Sat 23 Aug @ 15:20 www.edfringe.com/tickets/what...

Show artwork - Round speech bubble on orange background contains the title I'm Autistic. A subtitle underneath says A New Musical

Gosh, CLOSE by Lukas Dhont is heartbreaking! Such a stunningly beautiful film about young friendship, but I wasn't ready to see it fall apart so tragically 😭 An incredible watch, but be prepared! Available on BBC iPlayer (for now): bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/m001zqvz/close
