Resident Evil, as expected, was great. Fantastic even. A real loveletter to the franchise and the survival horror genre. But, I don't think it was a good adaptation. It felt like the kind of movie you'd make when you wanted to make a Resident Evil movie, but didn't have the license.

Donkey Kong: Bananza 100%ed. Fun game, but a bit too easy and all of the bosses except the last one were kinda bad. I enjoyed coordinating DK and Pauline’s costumes on each level. DK needed more hats though.

Barry can't meet the new kitten (Chris) yet, so he's living in my office. He's very vocal though, which makes Barry vocal. To avoid them calling each other all night, I locked Barry in the living room, so he just went outside and cried at the office window all night instead. 😭

Oh fun story, when did the system transfer to Switch 2, the wrong profile name came up and I thought I’d been hacked. Turns out, I logged into my friend’s Switch years ago and the login was still valid and his daughter changed my profile name and avatar for one of her friend’s.

The saga of Barry's friend comes to a close. Good news is that he(!) is not a stray! So, not an instance of the cat distribution system bringing Barry a new brother. But all is well, because I will be hopefully picking up a new kitten at the end of June instead!

Binged The Falcon and the Winter Soldier last night to watch Thunderbolts this morning. TF&TWS was good! Pacing was a bit off - could have probably done with being an episode or two shorter - but good! Thunderbolts was only okay though. Surprised it reviewed as well as it did.

Barry's friend came back, so I let him out to test the water. They played awkwardly at first, but were soon running around and chasing each other. It got too dark to keep filming and Barry wouldn't come in so I left him to it. The little delinquent eventually came home about 3am.

Buying a month of Ubisoft+ and then trying to binge Assassin’s Creed: Shadows before my sub expired really brings to mind the old Blockbusters experience of renting video games. Did it though. Good game, not perfect, but I liked the bits I liked enough to play 90 hours of it.

Played Girls Made Pudding, a short game about two girls motorcycling across a post-apocalypse where people disappear if no one is looking at them. Interesting concept, but could have been executed better. Gameplay was a bit too shallow and the characters fell a little flat.

About five or so hours into Assassin's Creed: Shadows. It's very pretty and fun enough, but I would absolutely be enjoying it more if it wasn't an AssCreed game. Every time I run into a glitch wall or a disembodied voice starts talking to me about memories, it's such a buzzkill.
