Another more hopeful CPAP update: Using my legit RX, I ordered a CPAP rental this morning. I'm also receiving a second at-home sleep study via insurance, through Sleep Doctor. I'm determined to begin treatment and return to Twitch as planned on the 9th!

The real stinger? This lab won't be able to see me for a basic consultation until January. Then who knows how long it'll be before the actual lab. Unless I get desperate and rent a CPAP online, it looks like my hiatus will continue into the new year. I'm fucking shattered.

CPAP Update: I hate insurance. Because I did the online sleep study, my insurance doesn't trust that the doctor who interpreted my results knows what he's talking about, and despite it being a legit prescription, insurance won't help me with CPAP until I go into an in-person sleep lab.

I'm currently faced with two paths: (1) Wait longer for my CPAP by getting an in person sleep study, indefinitely delaying my return to Twitch. (2) Take my present Rx and order a CPAP online, playing more. (3) Wait longer but come back to Twitch and still be all sleepy. Also I hate insurance

The doctor has officially prescribed me CPAP! However, I can't do anything with it until a doctor gives recommended settings, which could happen tonight after a consultation with someone from Sleep Doctor. Either way, I have a return date in mind. I can reveal that, also, as early as tonight 👀

What this means is I need to have another home sleep study. This time, the team is directly coordinating with my doctor, so once my results are reviewed, I'll be granted a CPAP prescription. Hoping by the end of the month.

Sleep apnea update: I hit a snag. Though I had a successful sleep study, and my doctor agrees I need CPAP, since the doctor that reviewed my sleep study results didn't directly coordinate with my primary care doctor, she can't prescribe it to me withiut knowing the proper settings.
