Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Let me guess, is it Davinci Resolve? If that's the case, you could probably replace it with Kdenlive instead. 010
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Same with Claymore, Big O, and Shadow Skill. Give me a legal way to buy old anime and I'll give you my entire wallet. 000
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Even TV has been hit real bad. 3/4 of the ads I get on most streaming services are literal gambling ads that unironically advertise themselves with "You won't need to worry about poverty or starvation again if you play this mobile game!" Absolutely sickening. 060
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 11/10/2026For me, what cemented this game as a masterpiece was just about everything about the Shadowlord fight. The first time the game broke me though was that damn lighthouse lady. 000
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Klonoa needs more love IMO. I would also put games like NieR: Replicant and Slay the Princess on my own profile. Come to think of it, Nekoweb lets you host your own website for free. 030
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 11/10/2026-the general public due to the fact that I have my own ways of avoiding AI here, but even they piss me off in their own ways. 020
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Genuinely. I've been learning HTML purely so I can move further away from the general public and host my own webcomic on Nekoweb. I've got a list of alternative sites that few people go to so I can experience a more peaceful internet. Youtube and Bluesky are the closest I'll be to- 130
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I love modded Skyrim, but content around it has partially been taken over by AI slop. Plus, Bethesda's updates on it seem to only break more of it as time goes on. Same thing with Fallout games. Nowadays I find myself obsessed with the NieR games or indie titles instead. 210
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Because they love to larp Christianity as a way to get votes from a Christian population. Not only does this harm normal Christians who just want to mind their own business, it also harms other people doing the same thing, and it radicalizes people for the sake of a shallow version of "morality". 010
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Ah, the French Revolution, a bastion of morally righteous deeds like the Cult of Reason, The Reign of Terror, and the replacement of an absolute monarchy with an absolute dictator. Boy, I bet those women, children, and priests had a lot of fun on those sinking ships! 100
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Amen. And these demons pose as "saviors" as a way to make us tear ourselves apart while they get to destroy our very moral and structural foundations. 010

Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 03/10/2026On a side note, there aren't enough "world conqueror" styled games IMO. There needs to be more games where you play as a villain trying to take over the world in elaborate and creative ways, while the world itself is trying to fight back in equally elaborate and creative ways. 010
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I really feel what you're saying here. There aren't nearly enough games where you can just straight up play as a vampire and just make thralls of everyone and take territory. Or hell, be a subversive vampire and hunt other vampires for the sake of justice and curing your vampirism. 111
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Homer would be the killer, and all he could do is strangle survivors at melee range. Yet somehow survivors would find a way to suck against him, complain to behavior, and get him nerfed into absolute obscurity. The new map would be Ned's back yard. 000
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 03/10/2026God: Do not steal, this is one of my most important rules. Respect your neighbor and their belongings. Pope: Do not steal, this is one of Christianity's biggest rules. It was made so we wouldn't overstep boundaries. AI bros: wHy Is StEaLiNg WrOnG??? yOu DoN't KnOw WhAt YoU'rE TaLkInG aBoUt!!! 040
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 03/10/2026You should probably check out Bad Ink Studios on youtube. They go into the best ways to making speech bubbles, as well as typography. They've been incredibly helpful in my own production of my webcomic, and I've yet to see anyone go as in-depth as they do. 010
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 18/09/2026I remember playing Melee and Brawl. I would just stare at the different trophies and say to myself "Man I wish I had more money right now. I wanna play ALL these games." Best part, I actually got to play a good chunk of them. 70% of those were through legal means. 130
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Most of America want AI regulations. Ignoring that is just throwing away votes at this point. 000
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Holy hell man. Palworld is 40GB at minimum, and Black & White 2 just needed 3.5GB. I'm confident all that memory is being used to artificially bloat hardware requirements, and by extension, artificial price hikes. Because even overdetailed graphics should be hitting their limits by now. 100
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 18/09/2026The 500 gigs thing was just exaggerating how much game companies can actually do compared to the cartridge era. But yeah, I do agree we should get the full game we paid for. 100
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Honestly, these are probably the easiest extortion demands anyone could receive. You're telling me that my life would massively improve, economic collapse would be mitigated, data center plans stop, and all I have to do is lock up the pedo who started all that? You'd think it'd be a no-brainer. 020
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Not to mention that a good chunk of our bricks already receive updates regularly anyway, it wouldn't be hard at all. 000
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 18/09/2026I feel like in this point in time, manufacturers would be more than capable of making a super durable cartridge with like 500 gigs worth of game on it. They just choose to do the cheaper option instead. 200
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Lmao fr. Even disks not too long ago (relatively) also had the installer on them. The original Oblivion's major expansions were divided into disks, previously known as expansion packs. This was the norm for a long time until DLC became a thing. 100
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Only downside is that God would be watching through all those eyes. But hey, he'd probably be the best third wheel in town. 020
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 18/09/2026As a Smash fan, I agree wholeheartedly. Though I do wish they added Waluigi as a playable character. 010
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 18/09/2026I miss Custom Robo. As dumb and unbalanced as the GC entry was, it was one of the most layered and detailed games on that console. I had a blast with it. Also, bring back F-Zero and Starfox. And no, I don't mean yet another remake of 64. 000
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Also want to add on to that list: Team reptile made Bomb Rush Cyberfunk and Lethal League Blaze Domesticated Ant made Gravity Circuit And Studio Pixel Punk made Abyss X Zero 020
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 17/09/2026In that case, I'd like to contribute to a few indie devs' success just because I love them so much. Black Tabby Games has made two fantastic visual novels, Slay the Princess and Scarlet Hollow Bilsu is making Trinity 64 And HitBreak is making Code Rapid Promote your favorite devs like I just did 150
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 17/09/2026At this point I'm convinced that the player-count dropoff that every game inevitably experiences is just the ball-and-gun gamers finally figuring out that they're not playing a game with balls and/or guns. 010
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Idk mate, the indie scene is actually really big on youtube. I primarily keep tack of Trinity 64's progress there, and it's also how Mechabreak and Psudoregalia got popular. Not to mention that Ironpineapple is practically carrying half of the indie scene on his back like the chad he is. 010
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 14/09/2026"Here's a technology that drains resources at an unprecedented level and steals from artists, writers and coders with zero compensation" "wElL iT's NoT bAd If I uSe It To AsSiSt Me" MF, it's still bad to use it, period. I don't care if it makes 1000 memes per hour, I don't want it. 000
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 14/09/2026On top of Adventure and heroes, the Mega Collection was probably one of the best things I'd ever played on the GC. It was like a demo disk, but it just came with the full games. Not to mention it was my first introduction to the comics and how in depth (and sadly, weird) they were. 110
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I actually really liked Sunshine. It was one of my favorite games because there was just a ton of shit to do if you played it recreationally. Not to mention that breaking it due to jank was half the fun. 160
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 14/09/2026It kinda helps with messy artsyles too. Texture absolutely benefits from having imperfections, and it's something I plan to do with my webcomic. 060
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Getting attacked mid-fast travel would be pretty awesome too, like how Dragon Age: Origins did it. 020
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 14/09/2026A thousand times this. The closest I've ever gotten to playing a bounty hunter like this is Armored Core 4 and AC: For Answer, but Fromsoft sadly haven't ever re-released anything AC related. I would absolutely love to play a REAL bounty hunter game like that. 030
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Wanna know what's morally acceptable when a corporation locks stuff behind unreasonable paywalls?static.klipy.comYou are a PirateALT: You are a Pirate 1121
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Man this game was a dream for me. Genuinely hope more people play this. 020
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 12/09/2026If you want a good feeling turn-based combat system, look at games like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, or Final Fantasy 6 for inspiration. Yeah, they're turn based, but each party member and enemy have their own action timers, and the speed stat dictates how fast said timers can fill up. 000
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Playing Tetris poorly. My Tetris gameplay is absolute dogshit and I'm not afraid to admit it; only afraid that I need to keep several pieces on the side in mind while the one I'm controlling is moving at roadrunner speeds, and I have zero knowledge on future structure patterns. 010
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Fr man, it feels like most people don't care about anything anymore. 010
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Daaamn I remember Fraxy! this game was so cool back in the day. People made some crazy bosses back then. 000
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 12/09/2026On the other hand, I actually really like it when the game gives you real rewards for getting achievements. "You got a 50 hit aerial combo on an elite goon? Here ya go, a whole new combo/weapon as well as a damage boost to help snowball your progress in becoming an unstoppable killing machine." 010
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Don't get too comfortable. Aside from Nintendo execs being just as soulless as any other (especially their lawyers), the keycard IDs are still a thing. You do have a "physical" copy, but a system like that still makes it easy for them to take away your access to that copy. 000
Jack Lant @jack-lant.bsky.social · 12/09/2026I also dropped Youtube for Vidlii, Sketchtube, and Newgrounds. I don't care if those other platforms are "worse" and "have nothing to watch," using youtube is basically asking to produce 10 videos a day for a hay penny while you get doxed by either a rando or youtube themselves. 110
