Day 1 of #AGNTCon + #MCPCon. Many great presentations and thoughts for later. My highlight: an excellent talk by Jigyasa Grover and Rishabh Misra - a sober view (not anti-AI) why you would NOT squeeze an agentic approach everywhere.

Quirk - I have noticed that with more advanced setup with mocking (vi.fn, service mocks), coverage-v8 produces incorrect values, while coverage-istanbul correctly marks touched lines.

#GitHubUniverse recap in Warsaw. It was mostly about AI tools. And it was good to get more wider look on the features and software delivery with their approach, which I like. "Home for developers and agents" is quite accurate. IDEs and CLI + agentic workers + GHAS - you get a lot on top of GitHub.

Switched to Node test runner sharding as well in GitHub - it's faster. run: node --test --test-shard=${{ matrix.shard }}/${{ strategy.job-total }}

locally, then GH on PR / merge - so you always see the tests state in GH. Build / deploy goes via SAP CICD (DEV) after merge. Then we have as well a dedicated release script which generates stuff, tags, publishes etc. and also via SAP CICD builds / deploy but this time with SAP TMS.

I was not digging into sharding with cds test. But would be interesting to check it in GitHub Actions. SAP CICD is not an option AFAIK, as you can't pass index/number of shards anyhow and for the stage only one container is given.

Time will come that "no AI inside/real human behind" will be a selling point? I'd pay more for such services. May be a niche, but still, a valid product strategy?
