Plant-y kind of day. The fruit trees we planted as eco-collective a few years ago are bearing magnificent fruit. I think the canteen is interested so I nabbed one first. Delicious.

There's a power station 2 minutes up the road at Ballylumford. Plus the house is listed, which i know can make renovations difficult. Still love it!

We had a great time as kids, stayed on a farm i think, and then we took our own up there a few years ago to have a walk round Brown's Bay and get an ice cream at The Rhinka. It felt a bit idyllic.

Lovely. I think they're common in Ireland, just new to the garden. Those trees are a relatively recent addition to a walkway and i think are definitely impacting local biodiversity. I'll lift the binoculars next time.

First time growing broccoli cannot be described as a success. But, pretty flowers. Reminds me we grew Brassica campestris on PGCE as an illustration of an extended practical. Carrots trying to push themselves up, to tell me it's harvest time.

Any way to skip to the bit where everyone has realised ai churns out nonsense? I've just been subjected to several biology animations that are just all wrong. Wrong labels, wrong processes, wrong structures. But they look jazzy and if you don't know how saltatory conduction works, you'd use it. 😤
