Chinese Gamedev philosophy has in large part been to take some popular IP & throw a bunch of money at it to make a clone Naturally I'd think this is a soul less cheap move, but i find its effectively modernizing ideas that have no chance to be otherwise due to the high investment floor to make them

Full fix point custom libraries & components which is how I'm able to get fully deterministic online multiplayer working again 🥳 Tbh I'm really only using unity for the graphics & mobile support at this point lol

not necessarily a netcode issue, it was a lack of time motivation & understanding how Unity works tl;dr Ultra Bouters needed to remove all floating point maths to have determinism, & it just took me a year to realize nearly every native Unity library / component uses floats & stop relying on them

Meh before coding agents I just copypaste code from GitHub or some asset store anyway If you're a good enough designer you can use agents & understand the code I do believe it's in a bit of a bubble ATM, but I exist now & I'm good enough at coding I can revert to doing it myself again if needbe

I've fought off using Claude for my game Ultra Bouters for a good year now & I'm sad to say it can do things that will take me 2 days to do in 2 hours, how can i deny this value? If claude enables me to publish more creative ideas before I die why wouldn't I use the tool?
