Late sharing this but in my defence it's been a busy week... Still slightly in shock but very happy to say that I passed my PhD viva last week with no mandatory corrections! Massive thanks to everyone who made this experience so incredible. @shaunkillen.bsky.social

Delighted to say that another of my PhD chapters is now published in @meps-ir.bsky.social. We found increased diurnal risk-taking behaviour in dascyllus exposed to artificial light at night, but no effect on sociability! doi.org/10.3354/meps...

Delighted to share a new paper from myself, @scubamelman.bsky.social and colleagues on the swimming behaviour of pile perch, available now in @jexpbiol.bsky.social at doi.org/10.1242/jeb..... Our findings show that both ecology and the social environment affect chosen swimming speed in this species.
