some of the partial support ones /aren't/ actually suppored either. maybe they are if you use a near 20 year old 3rd party usb 360 controller, if you're lucky. the only thing they do consistently is games with ZERO support are never labeled as supported at all

i wish steam was more consistent with the controller support labels. if it says it's incompatible it's always a guess whether or not they actually are, are but the labels are just "joystick button _" instead of the icons, or it just isn't compatible at all.

fences, and sometimes a molotov cocktail for most of them. hell, sometimes i just let them attack the thing i'm supposed to protect because it gets rid of them faster. i think you can take them out preemptively, but a lot of times they're sitting in groups which makes safely taking them out harder.

forces you to find landmarks and use the compass that appears on the returning threat ring in order to navigate. sometimes a signal can still pass through the fog so you can reorient what way your headed. however, in combination with how the game saves, this makes progression a fucking nightmare

checkpoints work. you can only ever save at your base. which wouldn't be near as bad if you didn't have to deal with how navigation works in this game. most of the map is covered in a thick fog that makes it hard to see through, and blocks any of the map features—which is a cool mechanic that

my only complaints about the feel is the b&w buttons are kind of a weird move away from the other face buttons, but not much weirder than moving around any other controllers normal face buttons. the start and back buttons are also INCREDIBLY awful to press without completely changing my grip on the

i finally found an original duke controller at a thrift store and ougfgh my god this controller is comfortable the egg buttons look weird but they serve a purpose, i can easily press them all without misspresses or moving my thumb. the dpad looks stupid, but your thumb just fucking stays in there
