It's not a feeling, windows does actually wake the computer from sleep when there's pending updates. It's not an entire fix, but you can disable "wake timers" to sorta alleviate the problem at least a little. Mind you this is windows 10, so, could be even more annoying with 11.

Over here in the UK the price is 75 pounds (roughly 98 usd). I don't think the US site is up and showing things yet however, either way it is pretty steep.
