Our paper on odour categorization in the Drosophila mushroom body is now out in Cell Reports! 🎉 We found that αβ and α′β′ Kenyon cells—but not γ KCs—distinguish food-related from non-food odours at the population level. Very happy to see this work published! 🪰🧠 doi.org/10.1016/j.ce...

In 2022 we showed surprising network structure in fruit fly mushroom body (site of associative memory formation & recall), but couldn't say what it did. Here @gtavosanis.bsky.social @ivychanchiwai.bsky.social et al., explore the functional consequences! Very nice. :)
