The Nobel committee should have awarded the Peace Prize to Trump then secretly awarded itself a newer, bigger Peace Prize for preventing wars brought about through temper tantrums by the manbaby.

I assumed it was an outrageous Onion joke when I first saw the headline. Then the horrific realisation crept over me like a shadow.

The UK has supposedly grown richer from half a century ago but I can't figure out how back then a working man could afford a house, keep a wife and several children all from the pay of one job.

I often wonder why the country with the greatest incarceration rate in the world doesn't adopt the kapo system and get violent prisoners to perform the legal executions of other prisoners.

The new technology of digital files and the internet brought about music sharing - a good thing. The copyright holders promised vengeance on a biblical scale and crushed the phenomenon. The new technology of AI brings us deep-fake porn. The copyright thieves say it's a good thing.

That's the trouble with the thoughtful leftists; nuance is everything. The hard right only need to get behind one idea: power, powER, POWER!

I'll bet smartphones know so much about us, they can determine if we're driving alone and if we are not connected to a hands-free system. I'll also bet they know in real time when we're texting. So why don't they shut down until the car is stationary? Put AI to some good use.

One of the criteria of a dictatorship that the legacy media regularly uses to make its readership feel smug, is how one man can unilaterally make crazy decisions without any checks and balances to prevent catastrophe. But that's America today.

There should be legislation surrounding the supermarket apps that give discounts on items. Plastering the shelves with red labels screaming 20% saving is misleading. I've been caught out several times now thinking items have been reduced when the saving is ONLY made using the app.

Counter-argument: This is awful. Lego used to be a £20 box of bricks and no rules, to let a kid's imagination run riot. Then smash it and start again. Now it's a £140 kit to make one thing that happened before the kid was even born. Then put it on a shelf and dust it. Go shit in your hat, Lego.

Agreed. It's also a question of proximity. The poor are familiar with the poor and see them on a daily basis. They never see billionaires except on TV or social media therefore they are abstract in concept and glamorous. This is the heart of the problem.

But the whole immigrant thing is that they are taking 'money' away from the working-classes. They get that bit, so why can't they extrapolate to billionaires taking ALL the money from everyone? Even the old excuse about them creating jobs is gone - AI is killing jobs.
