Working on a monster story for issue #2 of Small Creatures, a local comic anthology which will be coming out in October. (Hopefully) It is set in the same world as my main comic, but is kind of a spinoff rather than directly connected.

I snagged a prime spot on the corner of the plaza. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and to the Eureka Cultural Arts District (and its partners) for making it possible. We are slowly, but surely, building up a visible comics community here in Humboldt!

At table set up at Arts Alive 5-2-2026. The table is covered with books by 12 different Humboldt County, CA creators. There is also a display with educational brochures about comics.

Personally, I'm talking about indie comics at local events and showing people examples. I even had some fliers made to hand out talking about comics as a serious medium and suggestions for reading.

Red Shouldered Hawk and Steller's Jay hang out for a bit. The hawk is watching the chickens and ducks in the field. Didn't see it take anything that day, but I've been told it has in the past.
