How many of you struggle to find great names and available .com domains for your products? I experiment a lot with projects, but always get stuck on the name. I avoid .ai or .io because they're pricey, and it often takes me days. What's your methodology? Any advice appreciated! #buildinpublic

Just noticed that a16z released their latest "The Top 100 Gen AI Consumer Apps " report A few other interesting takeaways: • AI’s consumer power users are extremely engaged — and highly monetisable • ChatGPT has a 2.5x lead on Gemini and a 14x lead on Claude in monthly active users #buildinpublic

New AI hit 😂 Must watch for builders LGTM stands for "looks good to me" Lately it's what engineers type on code they never read, because leadership heard AI makes everyone 10x faster and cut deadlines to match. Credits for the video to "Degenerative Pixels" (found it on YouTube). #buildinpublic

Do you keep your code together in a monorepo? I think every indiehacker/solobuilder should keep code together. Your AI agents will thank you for it and you will accelerate. My agents learn from my other projects, ideas are constantly shared, and things just get done so much faster. #buildinpublic

You can get $1000 from AWS today. Check out AWS Activate Founders tier A few months ago I applied and a few days later got $1000. What you need" • A legitimate looking website / business • Proper product with clear pricing • Clear terms / privacy etc. pages That's pretty much it! #buildinpublic

Good morning folks! 🙌🏻 Yesterday was a tough day. Came home exhausted. But still had to stick to the routine: • 1 hour of marketing • 1 -2 hours of building Grit is what gets us to success. Have a great day ya'll! Stick to your routines. #buildinpublic

How do you deploy code to prod? 1) Local machine directly 2) Via a pipeline like GitHub Actions I used to deploy locally, but now my agents push code to remote repos, then run and monitor pipelines. Much less hassle when switching macs and far more secure. How do you handle it? #buildinpublic

LimeGhost now also has an MCP 😍 How I build MCPs with agents: 1. Prompt agent to create an MD file of project architecture 2. Ask GPT or Claude online to research MCP best practices 3. Dev agent creates technical spec 4. Agent implements spec 0 errors. Works flawlessly. #buildinpublic

I have a new favourite skill for my AI 💡 I got annoyed that my agent was answering in the terminal with long answers. I created a skill: any time it has a long answer, put it in an "inbox" markdown file Then I use a nice markdown viewer + ☕️ to read it. So much nicer than terminal! #buildinpublic

Building after a full-time job is brutal. Why spend 1.5–3 hours every day grinding after hours? Because pouring all your creative energy into just a day job gets draining. Building something you truly own fuels creativity and growth. How do you stay consistent after work? #buildinpublic #indiedev

Building mobile apps used to take weeks. Now it takes an afternoon. Built a React Native app for Limeghost in 4 hours to capture raw ideas instantly on my Pixel. AI coding leverage is wild for scratching your own itch. What’s your setup for quick notes? #buildinpublic #ai

Neon just doubled its free tier storage: 1 GB per project (up from 0.5 GB), across up to 100 free projects. All my side projects run on Neon. For indie hackers testing rapid prototypes and client demos, the cost of spinning up Postgres is effectively zero. #PostgreSQL #IndieHacker #buildinpublic

Is AI taking everyone's job? Not quite. About 78% of US job cuts in 2026 had nothing to do with AI—most was standard cost-cutting and post-COVID overhiring. Meanwhile, LinkedIn tracked 1.3M new AI-related roles. Tech shifts destroy tasks, not work. What new roles are you seeing emerge? #ai #tech

Which database do you use for your projects? If you're an indiehacker thinking what DB to go for: do not pick NoSQL like DynamoDB. It's inflexible if you need to sort or filter data. If you don't know how your data will be used yet, your safe bet is Postgres. #buildinpublic #indiedev #ai

I think this one is more relevant than ever now 😂 Saw this years ago, and recently again. Made me wonder: if we say bad things about AI here on X, and it gets trained on this data and attaches our names to the bad words, could in the future it "remember" us as the villains 😂 #ai #buildinpublic

I want AI to slow down. Does anyone else feel this way? I feel the first signs of burn out. Agentic coding hooks our brain with intermittent rewards: the productivity gains are real, but working non-stop drains you, and long-term damage on health can be very severe. #buildinpublic #indiedev #ai

AWS has an amazing free tier for indiehackers. My SaaS runs on Lambda, SQS, and CloudFront. I process a tonne of data and pay only a few bucks a month. For anyone building data-heavy products, AWS backend is a solid choice, and SES is a no-brainer. #buildinpublic #indiedev #ai #aws

Just interviewed a data engineer. My favorite questions to ask now: • How has your job changed in the last 1-2 years? • How do you work now? • If you wrote in natural language instead of code, how would you feel? Answers quickly show if someone has an AI mindset. #buildinpublic #indiedev #ai

About 1 year ago I built my first AI agent for Roadmappy without any framework. AI agents are easy once you get the mental model right: it's just a loop calling the LLM API over and over with tools until it hits a goal or limit. Curious if you've built one? #buildinpublic #indiedev

I used to build only on AWS, but their container and DB offerings aren't indie-friendly. Now I run: • AWS Lambda + SQS • Neon database • Fly io for Nextjs containers Lambda + SQS is still unmatched for async data, but AWS databases are awful. Where do you host? #buildinpublic #indiedev

Meta's Muse mobile app hit #1 free on the App Store with 2.5M+ downloads. It's genuinely useful for planning, but Amazon blocks it. But the bigger question about Muse isn't capability, it's trust. Would you give Meta your inbox and your payment flow? #buildinpublic #meta

Coding is solved. Discovery is the new bottleneck. If before it took 1 month to discover and 3-6 months to build, it now takes 1 month to discover and 1 week to build. Code is cheap now. Everyone can ship to production. All your processes need to change. #buildinpublic #indiedev #productmanagement

My fun workflow for visual growth strategy summaries: 1. Deep research each channel (X, LinkedIn, SEO) in Claude, GPT & Gemini. 2026 tactics only. 2. Merge it all into one report. 3. Drop it into JammyJar, ask for an infographic with the latest OpenAI model. 4. Be amazed. #buildinpublic #indiedev

Grok 4.7 is out, 5–8× cheaper than Fable 5.1. As a Claude Code user, setup took minutes: Grok Build reads CLAUDE.md (CLAUDE.md) and claude/skills/ natively. It shipped Limeghost features, running plan > execute > test > deploy solo. Speed ≈ Opus/Fable. Long-task test next. #buildinpublic

Last week another AI model broke the internet. It's called "Jev" from typesafe ai. It's not "conversational" model, it is a classifier. Jev is ridiculously fast (70-500ms) and ridiculously cheap ($0.042 per million input tokens, output is free). The hype is real. #buildinpublic #indiedev

Tested GLM Flash 5.3 in production via their own API (no router) ✅ Easy setup, generous starter credits, works with Vercel AI SDK, cheap + smart, accurate responses ❌ Latency brutal — 20s+ for simple calls Rumour is Z is chip-constrained. Would ship it, but not like this. #indiehacker #indiedev

Claude went down the other day, and my work stopped cold. It felt like the stone age—no way I'm returning to manual coding. But it’s unnerving how much depends on APIs from just four tech giants. If they fail, we all stall. I can't wait for local models to finally cut the cord. #buildinpublic

Building AI agents feels tedious: we’re just stitching text files together for an API, then waiting for text back. Despite the hype, it lacks a true paradigm shift. Is an app really "AI-native" when all we’re doing under the hood is passing strings back and forth? #buildinpublic #ai
