I spent 3 days transcribing 1 hour and 44 minutes of a conflict resolution meeting with 11 people into Final Draft. Every ummm, and ahhh and ‘you know’, interruptions, talking over each other and moments of silence. Intense and at times even unintended comedy wearing out the em dash key. #scriptsky

Nomen est Omen as they say. I prefer a prophetic name for the main character. Placeholder names can change but often don’t unless I keep tripping over them. Then it’s easy to toss them and rename the baby. My latest ‘Lucia Grande’ is so fitting that if anyone challenges me, I’ll fight them. 🧚🏽‍♀️

Me too! I’ve just started an adaptation of a murder mystery. I have met the writer and she is excited to see her book ‘come alive’. I started with character work and ‘vibe’ work, sent her an example of the first two scenes and we’re meeting in two weeks to create our ‘moving forward’ agreement. 🧚🏽‍♀️

Bloody unfair! Indeed! I generally don’t get upset when celebrities die who have lived a long life and leaving a wonderful legacy but this one stung. I only really knew of him after the Hunt for the Red October and loved him in Jurassic Park.

I agree with you. If I hadn’t read the book, I most likely would have read it after watching the movie for sure. Still waiting to see if they’d make Artemis as well. I’d love to see who is chosen as female lead for that one. 🧚🏽‍♀️🚀

Great book! One of the best first lines, in my considered opinion. I also think his book ‘Artemis’ is underrated. I love reading books I can hold, fold the corner of the page, lug around and scribble in the margins. 🧚🏽‍♀️

Totally! I saw quite a few people having to come down of the mountain (Everest Base Camp). Usually a couple of hundred meters to recover. Me? Nah.. Mountain goat. Had a fag at Base Camp. An acclimatisation day at 3,800m and garlic soup did the trick.
