a reminder that Apple Music’s native iOS App still can’t cope with regaining network access, and requires a full close before it will notice it can access the servers again

I think re AI and programming, they found their niche, and it is the industry that already had generative text as a system. But now instead of a database you can kinda interpret and interact with, it’s a vapid form of English that is built on every stack overflow answer

As of Firefox 157 I intend to turn JPEG XL decoding on by default on all platforms. It has been developed behind image.jxl.enabled, which today is on by default on Nightly only, and has had a Firefox…

I think part of the problem with “The X handbook” for identifying trends, is that they’re not deliberately following that handbook. They’re doing what they feel is right and it just happens to follow those observations. They don’t have a name for it because they haven’t thought about it.

I think the graphs saying AI is more efficient than a human are excusing the fact that most uses for AI are competing against code. It’s reached levels of “I will not try and automate any of this, because the AI can muddle through it” that chimneysweeps would beg for

It’s amazing how averse to language people are, that there is an entire industry in using different words that people are less scared of, instead of saying “we’re going to charge people money for services”

Thinking about how "Definite" and "Indefinite" are about defining as an action. "You are defined by this pronoun" meaning "I know exactly who you're talking about", and then indefinite being "You could be a part of this but there's options" Rather than the royal we; "Me but I'm taking you down too"

Google seem to be under the impression that they can just eat everyone’s websites forever, without the websites deciding to just delist themselves from Google because of the no traffic coming from them.

Foxes In Love @foxes-in-love.bsky.social · 02/03/2026
A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue appears on the scene as Green is glaring at a failed crafts project, which has been utterly mangled beyond recognition.
Blue: What's wrong?
Green: The jute rope basket I've been trying to weave fell apart.

Blue sits down opposite of Green, also looking at the mangled basket attempt.
Blue: The one that was shedding needly fibers everywhere?
Green: Yep.

Blue continues looking at the failed basket as Green raises his head to look at Blue incredulously.
Blue: Aw, sorry to hear that.
Green: Why? You hated that thing.

Blue looks back up, and both foxes look at each other calmly.
Blue: Just because I'm glad that it's gone doesn't mean I can't be sorry that you lost it.
