It’s a basic answer but GOT full stop. It was the only time in my life I got really, really into a show. I was like an encyclopedia with the family trees/lore; and in one season I completely wiped the show from my memory. I don’t think I’ll ever have that passion for a show ever again.

Re-watching Smoking Behind The Supermarket With You. I think I like this show so much because there’s not so much damn exposition. Stuff just happens and it’s cute. I love anime but if we could have more new shows that don’t constantly explain every single second that would be amazing.

One job tech took away was the designated direction giver. Gripping the printed off Mapquest directions, instructing to turn on said street after already passing it, forgetting what step they’re on and ultimately ending up at a dead end. A lost art.

More on movies: I also watched Red Rooms and that has to be one of the most disturbing movies that has no shown violence that I’ve ever seen. To watch her try and ingratiate herself with the killer and revel in footage of some of the most horrifying things a human could do was insane.

Widow’s Bay is an example of a masterclass in lighting and color grading. The town is dreary, slow and quiet but it’s not dark and doesn’t have a depressing washed out color palette. It’s soft and has depth but still feels unsettling. Ugh I’ve missed lighting like this.
