Husband pointed out a crow that was having a rough time in the front yard, like it had been in a scuffle. It took some time but got back in the air as its companion watched out, cawing above. Then this one showed up and suddenly there were about 60 crows in the sky ready to throw down.

It’s definitely weird, my personal belief for that is that because Digimon all have multiple evolution paths. When you make them resemble early forms, that makes it seem that that’s the “proper” digivolution, maybe they just want to avoid that as they want it to be more fluid?

I don’t doubt that they were actually intending to wind down and end support. Then they saw player numbers with the final release, compared to the 1-3k players on Marathon. The bigger concern is that they thought ending support on Destiny to focus on Marathon was the better option 😅

Weirder to me is that most people don’t identify or care about this behavior at all. Most posts are “we are so back,” “destiny forever,” “we did it!” I won’t be subscribing to any of their promises or preordering anything until it’s been out for at least 6 months.

Bungie puts out these posts every couple of years where they sound like an abuser in a relationship. “Listen babe, I know I did wrong, I know I lost your trust, but this time I’ll do better.” And they do for a bit, and then a couple years later it’s the same script. So don’t get too excited.

The Destiny news is interesting. As someone who has played since The Taken King and has a little over 4.2k hours in the games, I doubt Bungie’s ability to deliver on said promises in a timely fashion. I’ll sit back, continue my life and see if they do anything that convinces me to come back 🤷🏻‍♂️

All that to say, hopefully we get some new story content in the future and all hope isn’t lost. But this is definitely a “let’s just sit back and continue our lives and see where the pieces fall,” for me as I’m not entirely sure I expect Bungie to deliver.

If they manage to do it, great, but I’m not sure it’ll be enough. Restoring the game so that new players can experience more is good, hopefully they have a plan for seasonal stories too As much fun as I had in Destiny over the years I was always more interested in what was coming next, not the past

Just realized this is the first time in 10+ years that I haven’t had PlayStation Plus, and since I’m not playing any games that require it, I don’t know when or if I’ll resub. I guess there’s one positive of Sony/Bungie ending Destiny support 🤷🏻‍♂️
