I'm hopeful that more folks will watch Little Witch Academia off the back of the reactions to the, HP genderbend thing. Diana Cavendish is just one of the great characters the series has to offer. Sucy is such a toxic (literally) little gremlin at times. I wish the OVAs were easier to stream.

Spooky Season or not, Yayoi sees ghosts wherever she goes, she's a girl with skulls in her eyes after all. Dark Gathering blends a bit of creature battle with its ghostly horrors. But horrors have a way of changing people too, some flee others fight & a few just long for more no matter the danger.

Isekai!? For Spooky Season? The Executioner and Her Way of life centers an obsession that feeds a creeping horror. Menou must look after Akari an other worlder who is overjoyed for the journey that awaits them regardless of what monsters or gruesome tragedies await in a bright but grim & cruel world

Finished up The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System from GoHands. Story wise, not a bad premise Isekai'd gamer reborn a noble son cast out by a shortsighted father showing his worth & such just comes with the usual GoHands style & caveats. Might need a motion sickness warning too?

What's a Spooky Season without a witch or two? Well, how about seven? Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches lacks a magical place of learning so witches like Urara just quietly attend Yamada's school like normal girls. It's fine, our tough guy Yamada wouldn't kiss & tell. A fun, witchy school romance.

Another Spooky Season another time to push Otherside Picnic. A series that feels so criminally under promoted to the point where this vid is the best/easiest way to show the OP. Closing in on season finale of Clevatess. I quite like Alicia's journey as a hero so far, riding the edge between powerful & capable but not overwhelmingly so. Constantly disregarded as a failed hero or not The True Hero. She nonetheless continues to act as one, I'm curious to see how it's paid off.

Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You is very comfortable & heartfelt from its writing & style but it's the type of series that lives or dies by the chemistry of the leads. Giles Panton & Caitlyn Bairstow's performances absolutely deliver it. A highly recommended grown up focused slice of life.

The return of a franchise like Ghost in the Shell aside. Dara-san of Reiwa may be my favorite series of this season. The hot anime ladies are indeed hot. It's also a nice mix of silly, endearing & tragic with a dash of actual horror to on occasion give you just a flash of worry for the characters.

Wrapped up A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even. With this & The Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power in the same season shortly after May I Ask for One Final Thing. Plenty of shows where the mistreatment of a female MC leads to consequences but Scarlet El Vandimion's approach is so satisfying.

Nasty stuff this AI news empire scheme. Thanks to my nerdy predilections, I am forever circling back to how laughable we thought a situation like this would be in those early days of spreading Internet access & home computing. Mad Stan was a joke of a Batman villain. Now, he feels damned prescient.

Mad Stan a hulking, broad shouldered man of pale complexion with short cropped black hair, black eyebrows and small black dot pupils. He wears a long sleeved black undershirt with a compartment covered gray vest over it that buckles together across his chest and abs.

Give the people (me) what they truly want. Seriously, in this moment? Mad Stan would be incredible. Oh? Who's Mad Stan? Please, watch Batman Beyond. Flying cars aside probably the biggest miss is we once thought a villain like Mad Stan was a joke barely fit for a cold open.

They're doing an animated Knightfall & they did Under the Red Hood & several others. Those are lower stakes & smaller more dedicated audiences. They just don't have a flashbulb effect for guys like Snyder. Maybe the animated BTAS & JLU tales that built DC a base back in the day are place to start.

How about the tale of a school boy, who in his darkest moment discovers he's special, only to learn in time that being special doesn't last forever & may actually be your doom. More visually creative & challenging than anything you'll see from a washed author grasping desperately at the past.

The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Road Trip feels almost uninterested in the dishes our ogre crushing (he's a hottie!) girl Rin cooks. Not all shows can have Delicious in Dungeon levels of detail & polish or Campfire Cooking in Another World's how-to approach. It just doesn't have the sauce?

As far back as I have proper memories, Peter Cullen's voice was there whether as Optimus Prime or in the then classic cartoons from before my time. Like Kevin Conroy with Batman, Peter Cullen became THE voice of Optimus Prime. He was undeniably a master of his craft. Be strong enough to be kind
