Ending Pride month with a Supreme Court ruling against my community because people just can’t handle people like me existing. A few trans people try to play sports and America loses its entire mind as though we were some sort of existential threat. It feels like a bad joke.

There are countless ways to handle transness in RPGs, especially fantasy ones. Somehow, being able to make your character pre op is the go-to. In the absence of substantial representation in the narrative, it’s an inadequate substitute for actual effort at best.

As a trans person, I am rather bothered that customizing private parts during character creation is being used as a shortcut towards appearing inclusive in RPGs. We want our private parts to stop being such a major focus when talking about us and this isn’t helping.
