I also like to use myself in my own work. But that is less about being exhibitionistic/ narcissistic and more to do with practical realities. When pinched for modeling fees, I can use myself for free. And pictures I take for reference, I own the copyright to. *shrugs*

So, I started out on the aristist (artist in training?) Side, but signed up to be a figure model. As model, I learned how to make interesting poses that I'd want to see were I the artist. And as artist, I gained a deeper understanding of how much focus and muscle aches are involved in posing.

Not sure if this discussion is still going. I enjoyed reading all the different perspectives. I'm one who falls into the exhibitionist school and enjoy posing. When at university, taking figure drawing classes for the first time, I was like, "wait.. the university would pay me to do that? Yes!"

Come to the Portland WNBR! It's on the 25th. There are 4 naked rides throughout the day, then the main WNBR in the evening with 5k to 10k riders. And yes, skaters will ride along, too (as well as unicyclists, in-line skaters, scooters.. and other weird and fun choices- hey, it's Portland!!).

New work in progress! It's a two panel painting. I've posted one of the panels before... but it has also been updated. I'll post both, here. It's still a WIP. The facing forward model, you can see where I corrected the shoulder lines. Hehe
