Didn't really get a chance to exert any influence on the game - 5/10 #ITFC

100

Didn't really get into the game when he came on. Poor penalty. Would rather he missed that one than the one Friday night mind - 4/10 #ITFC

100

Did okay when he came on. Had a great chance to win it. Could maybe have taken a touch. Good penalty - 5/10 #ITFC

100

Following a tough time on Friday Johnson turned into a flying LWB here. Took his goal incredibly well and fizzed another shot off with his left foot that required a good save. Also delivered the great cross to Al Hamadi. Still looked dodgy when we was asked to defend - 6/10 #ITFC

100

No lack of effort from Ali but finishing was lacking. Should have scored in the first half. Should have scored in the second half. Another poor penalty. He made good runs and got in good positioning but as a striker you've got to be finishing your chances - 3/10 #ITFC

100

What have we done to Jack Clarke? This game opened up for him but he just seems to be always making the wrong decisions. Just 2/7 take ons completed. Another poor game - 4/10 #ITFC

100

7 progressive passes, 2 chances created, four shots. Made the team tick going forward. Passing was at times risky and he did give the ball away but those risks created chances. Superb ball in for Al Hamadi and the touch and shot for Johnson's goal was sublime - 7/10 (MoTM) #ITFC

100

A much better performance than Friday. Should have done better with an early Davis pull back but got in down the right with strong running on a number of occasions. 3/4 successful take ons and some decent end product. Promising - 6/10 #ITFC

100

I think Humphreys did okay. A couple of nice tackles and looked to receive the ball in the middle but didn't create too much which would have been his role with Barbook being the more defensive - 5/10 #ITFC

100

Solid debut. Didn't try anything too fancy. Kept the ball well as his 91.84 % pass completion shows. Huge block following a corner recovery run that he celebrated like a goal - 6/10 #ITFC

100

Looked sharper than Friday night, inverting of the left for the first 45 minutes. Created three chances. Was caught behind his man for the corner but can't place too much blame on him for that. Crossing was wayward a couple of times - 6/10 #ITFC

100

Solid debut from Kipre. Got into some nice positions and it was his passing that unlocked the left hand side a few times. Didn't have to do too much defending but read the game well to recover the ball 6 times #ITFC

100

Did his defensive duties relatively well but no idea where he was going for the corner. A bit sloppier on the ball than usual standards - 5/10 #ITFC

100

Town's top ball progressor. Also made a couple of crucial shot blocks showing all of his experience to position himself in the right place. Smashed in his penalty. Has to start Saturday - 7/10 #ITFC

Player Ratings🧵 Here we go then 😑 Caught under the corner where he should really be stronger and claim through the bodies. Made a good one v one stop and made a good penalty save - 5/10 #ITFC

100

Top player report from a disappointing evening. Sowunmi was excellent for them throughout. Ashley Young a big positive. Hopefully his knock at the end isn't serious. Chaplin is also crucial to keep hold of. He is the link player that stops gaps between attack and midfield #ITFC

000

Looked calm and composed on the ball in the brief spell he was on and having a left footer on the left side of midfield opened the pitch up and made it harder for Birmingham to press. Definitely has a role to play this season - N/A #ITFC

000

Sign of our depth issues that Ali came on at RW. Considering the unfamiliar position I think he did okay and actually had a few runs with the ball. Had a big opportunity in the box but slipped as he chopped back onto his left - 6/10 #ITFC

100

Like Chaplin was also deeper to look to get more possession for Town despite rumours he could be out the door soon - 6/10 #ITFC

100

Got stuck in, in more ways than one and unlike Szmodics was dropping deeper to play more passes and get on the ball - 6/10 #ITFC

100

Looked solid on the ball and delivered a couple of wicked crosses. One of which was just over Hirst. Delivered the corner that won the penalty. Has to start against Southampton - 6/10 #ITFC

100

Had a real physical battle with the Birmingham defenders but never stopped working. Was cool as you like with his pressure penalty - 6/10 #ITFC

100

Sadly was the Clarke of a lot of last season. Looked lightweight off the ball and was often running into corridors on it. Beaten easily in the air for the Birmingham goal - 4/10 #ITFC

100

The Szmodics/Hirst combo showed signs of success and he had the best chance of the first half when he excellently won the ball back but was unable to hit the target with his fizzed shot - 6/10 #ITFC

100

Received the ball 19 times, particularly in the first half but wasn't able to create anything from it. To me he didn't look at full sharpness and probably wouldn't have started if other options were available. Need another option at RW before the end of the window - 5/10 #ITFC

100

Ended up playing deeper than Matusiwa which was a surprise. Was sloppy on the ball at times but didn't lack effort getting stuck in with a number of tackles - 5/10 #ITFC

100

It's safe to say Town lost the midfield battle. Despite that Matusiwa did make some good interventions at points but struggled on the ball until late on -6/10 #ITFC

100

Back to his more regular role hugging the touchline. Like a lot of Town players struggled to get into the game. He one chance he should have done better with and was unable to force Osayi-Samuel back as much as he'd have liked - 6/10 #ITFC

100

Mixed game. Struggled to keep track of Kyogo and got away with one for the disallowed goal. Could have picked a better passing option for Bham goal and also didn't read the game to recover to get back into position. Won the pen with his header and was good in the air - 5/10 #ITFC

100

Was excellent defensively and played a few excellent passes, the best of which got Davis in for an excellent opportunity. - 7/10 (MoTM) #ITFC

100

Found Ogbene a few times but without much success. Was targeted by Birmingham defensively with Keshi Anderson either getting in behind or beating him for strength a number of times - 4/10 #ITFC

100

Player Ratings: 🧵 Really didn't have much to do. Made two 'saves' neither of which were particularly testing. Drops a point for his kicking, the worst of which put Jack Clarke in an awful position for Birmingham's goal - 5/10 #ITFC

100

The one time Morsy found him with a ball over the top he beat his man and tested Stolarcyzk in goal with a lovely bit of movement but the fact he had 7 touches in 70 minutes shows how little Town played to his strengths - 5/10 #ITFC #LEIIPS

000

A tough day for Clarke. Lost the ball for Leicester first and wasn't able to get out of trouble very often with only 1/5 successful take ons. Still think there's more to come but this wasn't his best day - 5/10 #ITFC #LEIIPS

100

His dribbling ability is sublime but his decision making is infuriating at times. Scuffed two shots miles wide when he should have at least hit the target - 5/10 #ITFC #LEIIPS

100

Omari gave Luke Thomas a torrid time down the right. Constantly looking to take him on and get into the box. Created three chances which should have been more had he passed to Jack Clarke at the right moment. Wayward finishing saw him miss two big chances - 6/10 #ITFC #LEIIPS

100

As much as I love his silky skills on the ball, Jens does not bring that balance. Too slow to react to the Leicester break for Vardy's goal and should then bring Justin down. Didn't make a single tackle all game - 5/10 #ITFC #LEIIPS

100

Another who has been much improved in recent weeks. Four chances created, 6 ball recoveries and one mazy run into the box near the end. Getting the balance alongside him next season is the biggest piece of the recruitment puzzle - 7/10 #ITFC #LEIIPS

100

4 chances created. One goal disallowed he was Town's main outlet for this one. Hit the post with a well struck effort and looked to be getting back to his best. Caught in the same position as Greaves for Leicester's second though - 7/10 (MoTM) #ITFC #LEIIPS

100

Has really come into his own these last few weeks and made another large number of clearances whilst also getting the ball out to Davis on a lot of occasions. His defensive link up with the LB still needs work as both went for the same man for the second goal - 6/10 #ITFC #LEIIPS

100

One of his best performances on the ball and made some good recovery runs off it as well. Tracked Vardy all the way for his goal but then let him poke the ball through his legs. Should also score more from the set piece chances he gets - 6/10 #ITFC #LEIIPS

100

Dealt with the threat of El-Khannouss well but was given more problems by 15-year-old Monga. Superb one on one defending all game and almost broke into the box for an assist at one point - 7/10 #ITFC #LEIIPS

100

Player Ratings 🧵 Didn't really have that much to do with his only save coming from a Kasey McAteer shot. Will be disappointed with both conceded goals despite them being good finishes - 5/10 #ITFC #LEIIPS

100

Passing network shows lack of service to George Hirst but shows Leif Davis in the most advanced position to date and Greaves to Davis passing lane the most common. Leicester two goalscorers barely getting any of the ball but making their moments count #LEIPS #ITFC

000

Chance creation shows a sea of pink in their final third but hints to slow transitions and needing to break down their block whereas Leicester were quick with their breaks and went right through the middle of the pitch where our midfield has looked light all season #ITFC #LEIIPS

100

Top players report from yesterday. Nice to see Leif back to his best down that left hand side. Luke Thomas with 7 fouls and somehow not even a single yellow. Sam Morsy had another good game too #ITFC #LEIPS
